Kim Hee-jung got her start in the entertainment industry through SBS’s open auditions for talents in 1991. Some of her early works include the SBS dramas Mister Q in 1998 and Tomato in 1999. In 2002, she joined the popular SBS series Rustic Period. She also appeared in MBC’s Wonderful Life in 2005 and in KBS2’s Famous Princesses in 2006. In 2007, she became part of SBS’s First Wives’ Club, which won her Best Supporting Actress at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2009, she played Oh Dae-kyu’s wife in the KBS2 family drama Three Brothers, which scored her an Excellence Award nomination at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2016, she was cast in the MBC family series My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol and in the SBS sageuk Six Flying Dragons. In 2018, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the MBC Drama Awards for her work in the daily series Secrets and Lies.


Kim Hee-jung attended Chung-Ang University’s theater and film department.
