Kim Hye-eun began her career as an announcer and weathercaster for MBC before transitioning into acting. After several years of playing minor roles, she finally gained momentum in 2012 with her appearance in the award-winning movie Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time. Her work in the film scored her Best New Actress nominations at the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 21st Buil Film Awards. She became part of the 2012 MBC revenge drama Equator Man, which earned her an Excellence Award nomination at the 5th Korea Drama Awards. In 2014, she joined Kim Hee-ae and Yoo Ah-in in JTBC’s Secret Love Affair, which won her Best Supporting Actress at the 3rd APAN Star Awards. That same year, she was nominated for a Special Award at the SBS Drama Awards for She’s So Lovable. In 2020, she was cast as one of the main characters in JBTC’s Graceful Friends, which was followed by another key role in tvN’s The Road: The Tragedy of One.


Kim Hye-eun graduated from Seoul National University’s College of Music. She and her non-celebrity husband have a daughter together.
