Kim Sang-ho began acting on stage before making his film debut with a minor role in the 2001 thriller The Last Witness. In 2007, he starred in director Lee Jun-ik’s The Happy Life, which won him Best Supporting Actor at the 28th Blue Dragon Film Awards. In 2011, he acted alongside Kim Hyun-joo in MBC’s All That Glitters and Lee Min-ho in SBS’ City Hunter, which both gave him a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 4th Korea Drama Awards. That same year, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 48th Grand Bell Awards for the thriller movie Moby Dick. In 2012, he took home another Best Supporting Actor trophy, this time at the KBS Drama Awards for the top-rating series You Who Rolled in Unexpectedly.  In 2019, he was cast as Joo Ji-hoon’s loyal personal bodyguard in the Netflix zombie sageuk Kingdom. In 2020, he was once again nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the SBS Drama Awards for the time travel series Alice.
