Kwon Soo-hyun debuted as an actor in the 2012 comedy-drama film Dangerously Excited. In 2014, he bagged his first television role in the SBS daily series Run, Jang-mi. In 2016, he appeared in the period action-thriller film The Age of Shadows, which was selected as Best Film at the 36th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards. His performance in the movie also won him Best New Actor at the 24th Korean Culture and Entertainment Awards. He then played supporting roles in the tvN dramas Hundred Million Stars From the Sky and Abyss in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, he joined the main cast of the hit tvN series Record of Youth.
