A former idol trainee, Lee Joo-bin almost debuted with the South Korean girl group Rainbow in 2009. But due to the continued delays in their launching, she quit and turned to modeling. In 2017, she debuted as an actress in SBS’s Whisper. She next played supporting roles in several TV series such as OCN’s Trap and MBC’s Item, which both aired in 2019. That same year, she received love from the viewers for her appearance in the JTBC series Be Melodramatic. She then portrayed a gisaeng in the 2019 KBS2 sageuk Tale of Nokdu. In 2020, she became part of the main cast of JTBC’s two-episode drama special Hello Dracula. Also in 2020, she joined the MBC series Find Me in Your Memory, which earned her a Best New Actress nomination at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2021, she bagged a major role in JTBC’s Sunbae, Don’t Put on That Lipstick.
