Lee Soo-kyung began her entertainment career as a commercial model before transitioning into acting. Some of her early acting projects are the 2005 SBS series Dear Heaven and the 2006 crime film Tazza: The High Rollers. She was cast in her first leading role in the 2006 MBC comedy-drama Soulmate, opposite Shin Dong-wook. In 2007, she starred in the KBS2 weekend series Golden Age for Daughters-in-Law, which won her Best New Actress at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2009, she led the SBS melodrama Loving You a Thousand Times, which earned her an Excellence Award nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2010, she was named Best Supporting Actress at the SBS Drama Awards for the hit political series Daemul. She was also nominated for an Excellence Award at the 2010 KBS Drama Awards for the romantic comedy My Country Calls. In 2013, she acted alongside Yoon Doo-joon in the tvN series Let’s Eat. In 2016, she joined the main cast of MBC’s Father, I’ll Take Care of You. In 2019, she worked with Kim Jin-woo in the KBS2 melodrama Left-Handed Wife, which scored her an Excellence Award nomination at the KBS Drama Awards.
