Oh Nara started her acting career as a theater actress, taking part in several musicals such as Finding Mr. Destiny, which won her Best Actress at the 2006 Korea Musical Awards. She made her television debut in the 2008 SBS series My Sweet Seoul. In 2012, she appeared in the romantic comedy film Dancing Queen, which earned her a Best New Actress nomination at the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2017, she became part of the fantasy-comedy omnibus film Because I Love You, which gave her an Excellence Award at the 25th Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards. In 2018, she was cast as one of the main leads in JTBC’s megahit series SKY Castle. In 2019, she joined tvN’s My Ajusshi, which was named Best Drama at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards. The series also scored her a Baeksang Best Supporting Actress nomination. In 2020, she led the MBC dark mystery-comedy drama United Effort to Accomplish One Thing along with Kim Hye-joon. She was nominated for a Top Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards for her work in the series. In 2021, she starred in the SBS sports drama Racket Boys, which won her two acting trophies.


Oh Nara has been in a relationship with musical actor and professor Kim Do-hoon for over 20 years. She majored in dancing at Kyung Hee University and then pursued a master’s degree at Dankook University.
