Park Hyo-joo made her acting debut in the 2001 film A Day. Her breakthrough came in 2007 when she was cast in the MBC series Air City. That same year, she landed her first leading role in the MBC Dramanet’s sageuk drama Chosun Police Season 1, which earned her a nomination for Outstanding Actress in a TV Series at the 2008 Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco. In 2011, she joined the hit coming-of-age movie Punch, which gave her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 33rd Blue Dragon Film Awards. She then became part of the 2012 SBS series The Chaser, which won her the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2014, she joined several TV series such as tvN’s I Need Romance 3 and MBC’s Triangle. In 2021, she acted alongside Song Hye-gyo in the SBS romance series Now, We Are Breaking Up, which scored her the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the SBS Drama Awards.


Park Hyo-joo attended Dongduk Women’s University. She married a non-celebrity in December 2015.
