Park Min-young began her entertainment career in 2005 through an SK Telecom commercial. The following year, she made her acting debut in the MBC sitcom Unstoppable High Kick, which won her Best New Actress at the MBC Entertainment Awards. In 2007, she was once again named Best New Actress, this time at the KBS Drama Awards for I Am Sam. Her career breakthrough came in 2010 when she played the crossdressing heroine in the KBS2 sageuk Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Her performance in the series scored her various recognitions including a Best Actress nomination at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2011, she was paired with Lee Min-ho in the high-rating SBS series City Hunter. In 2014, she took home an Excellence Award at the KBS Drama Awards for Healer, in which she starred with Ji Chang-wook. In 2017, she played the titular character in the KBS2 sageuk Seven Day Queen, which earned her an Excellence Award nomination at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2018, she took on the female leading role in the hit tvN romantic comedy What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, opposite Park Seo-joon.


Park Min-young attended an American high school as an exchange student. Her English name is Rachel. She graduated from Seoul’s Dongguk University with a degree in theater in 2013. She previously dated her City Hunter co-star Lee Min-ho.
