Park So-dam began her acting career in 2013 with appearances in various films such as Steel Cold Winter and Ingtoogi: The Battle of Internet Trolls. Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she joined the mystery-thriller film The Silenced, which scored her multiple Best New Actress nominations. Later in 2015, she starred in the film The Priests, which won her numerous acting awards, including Best New Actress at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards and Best Supporting Actress at the 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards. In 2016, she led the tvN romantic comedy series Cinderella and the Four Knights. In 2019, she was launched into international fame for her starring role in director Bong Joon-ho’s acclaimed black comedy thriller film Parasite. The movie bagged numerous accolades, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. In 2020, she was paired with Park Bo-gum in tvN’s top-rating series Record of Youth.


Park So-dam graduated from Korea National University of Arts. In December 2021, her agency revealed that she was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer during a regular medical check-up. Her agency added that she has completed surgery.
