Seo Jung-yeon made her television debut in JTBC’s A Wife’s Credentials in 2012. She has since appeared in numerous TV series and movies such as tvN’s Valid Love in 2014 and the drama film In Between Seasons in 2016. She also joined the hit KBS2 drama Descended From the Sun, which earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards. In 2017, she received another nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the inaugural The Seoul Awards for her performance in SBS’s Defendant and JTBC’s Woman of Dignity. That same year, she became part of the workplace comedy series Chief Kim and the four-episode drama Naked Fireman, which both aired on KBS2. Her work in both series scored her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2018, she acted alongside Jang Ki-yong, Jin Ki-joo, and Heo Jun-ho in the MBC romance melodrama Come Here and Hug Me, which gave her acting nominations at that year’s APAN Star Awards and MBC Drama Awards.
