Suho debuted with EXO in April 2012 with the EP Mama. Their breakthrough came in 2013 with the release of their debut studio album XOXO, which spawned the hit single Growl. EXO’s single Monster from their third studio album Ex’Act became the group’s first number one on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. The group topped Forbes Korea’s Power Celebrity List for two consecutive years in 2015 and 2016. In March 2020, Suho released his first solo EP called Self-Portrait, which debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart.


After several cameo appearances in TV and film, Suho made his official acting debut in 2016 through the youth movie Glory Day. In 2017, he starred in Star of the Universe, which is part of the MBC and Naver’s trilogy series Three Colors of Fantasies. In 2018, he led the cable drama Rich Man, a Korean remake of the Japanese series Rich Man, Poor Woman. In 2020, he played a genius patissier in the fantasy romance drama How Are You Bread, opposite Lee Se-young.


Suho enlisted as a public service officer for his mandatory military service in May 2020. He was discharged in February 2022.
