Suzy debuted with the South Korean girl group Miss A in 2010 with the chart-topping single Bad Girl, Good Girl. The group has two successful studio albums, namely A Class released in 2011 and Hush released in 2013. In 2016, Suzy collaborated with EXO’s Baekhyun for the digital single Dream, which debuted atop Gaon’s weekly digital chart. In 2017, she dropped her debut solo extended play titled Yes? No?


Suzy made her acting debut in the hit 2011 KBS2 series Dream High, which won her Best New Actress at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2012, she landed her first film role in Introduction to Architecture, which earned her the Best New Actress trophy at the 48th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2013, she was paired with Lee Seung-gi in MBC’s fantasy fusion sageuk Gu Family Book, which scored her a Top Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2016, she was named Most Popular Actress at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards for the period drama film The Sound of a Flower. That same year, she was nominated for a Top Excellence Award at the KBS Drama Awards for the romantic melo Uncontrollably Fond. In 2018, she received another Baeksang Most Popular Actress trophy for SBS’s While You Were Sleeping. In 2019, she bagged a Top Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards for Vagabond, which was her reunion project with Lee Seung-gi. In 2020, she acted alongside Nam Joo-hyuk in the popular tvN drama Start-Up.


Suzy graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul. She previously dated actors Lee Min-ho and Lee Dong-wook.
