Wang Ji-hye made her acting debut in 2000 with the film Picture Diary. She then landed her first television role in the 2003 MBC drama 1% of Anything. She has since appeared in numerous TV series such as SBS’s How to Meet a Perfect Neighbor in 2007 and MBC’s Personal Taste in 2010. In 2011, she became part of the SBS rom-com Protect the Boss, which won her the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. That same year, she was cast in her first leading role in Channel A’s Bachelor’s Vegetable Store. This was followed by another starring role in the 2012 KBS1 daily series Be Strong, Mr. Kim, which earned her an Excellence Award nomination at the KBS Drama Awards. In 2013, she was once again nominated for an Excellence Award, this time at the SBS Drama Awards for Suspicious Housekeeper. In 2016, she led the SBS daily series Bubbly Lovely. In 2021, she joined the main cast of another daily drama called Be My Dream Family, which aired on KBS1.


Wang Ji-hye attended Konkuk University. In September 2019, she married her non-celebrity boyfriend.
