Yeh Ji-won made her screen debut in the 1996 movie Mulberry, which earned her a Best New Actress nomination at that year’s Grand Bell Awards. In 2002, she worked with acclaimed director Hong Sang-soo in the film Turning Gate, which won her Best Supporting Actress at the 10th Chunsa Film Art Awards. In 2004, she starred in the hit KBS2 sitcom Old Miss Diary, which was adapted into a movie in 2007. She was named Best Actress at the 8th Busan Film Critics Awards for her work in the latter. In 2014, she received a Baeksang Best Supporting Actress nomination for another Hong Sang-soo film, Our Sunhi. In 2016, she joined the popular tvN series Oh Hae-young Again, which gave her numerous citations. In 2018, she appeared in the SBS dramas Should We Kiss First and Thirty But Seventeen. The former scored her the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2019, she bagged a Top Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards for the weekend series No Second Chances. In 2020, she took home the Best Supporting Actress honors at the KBS Drama Awards for the romantic comedy Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol.
