@43 personally, i like both. the japanese version doesn't get enough attention, tbh. i saw the taiwanese version first, tho, so it's kinda my favorite by default (just cos it already had that place in my heart. lol.) i think the taiwan version (it started with a kiss) is a hit or miss though. i've only seen that people either reallly loved it or really didn't.
Oh @ 43: The taiwanese one! granted its a bit long, and some of the acting by some supporting actors isn't all that strong, but the lead cast were totally awesome! and the lead couple has a lot of chemistry. Plus the Japanese version is a bit old(er) and personally I don't like to watch anything older than 5 or 6 years.
I say watch a bit of both before you decide.
