Finished Chief Inspector. Such a good little show that ended too soon. I really want them to extend this one to another season or 3!

Enjoyed the first 2 eps of Crash. Another police procedural with great team chemistry. Looking forward to watching these Davids defeat the Vehicles of Doom army.

Also liked the hagwon machinations in eps1-4. Though I was quite uncomfortable watching that whole late-night texting and giggling scene- thought it came too early in the show, even if I don't know what exactly was said in that exchange.

Waiting to savour the latest Not A Hero eps, because it requires my full concentration and I don't have the headspace this busy week.

I sort of cringe-watched the latest Bridgerton. Penelope is so breathtakingly beautiful in this. Thank God they took my style advice and put her in greens that complement her hair and lushness haha. But there're only so many quadrilles and balls and gratuitous sex scenes I can take- thank you, East Asian dramas for converting me to the hint not show camp! Queen C's wigs deserve a show of their own- what was that amazing ridiculosity that seemed to have a whole lit up diorama in the middle! Maybe a competition series for wannabe Regency wig-makers?

I suspect the romantic turn will be suggested for after the end of the drama. That's just because I think there might be backlash in two different directions if you put Mi ra in a romantic relationship during the drama ( One group of people who will think she should be protected, and one group of people who will think she should be ostracized- I can imagine backlash on both sides)

Why are good dramas like this only 10 episodes? Then you have others, (looking at you QoT!) that end up using too many fillers and annoying side plots just to drag on for 16. Yes, this felt a bit rushed in places, but like a good guest, better to leave viewers wanting more than overstay one's welcome! Hoping against hope that the makers or tv stations greenlight a s2 for Chief Inspector.

Yes, Im So-hyang really sold that "newbie being the street hawker" scene- it was fun to watch.

Thank you for providing me with an explanation why we did not see Dp-jun AT ALL in episode 17- he is just too busy.

I was not aware of the most recent developments but was aware that the ROK program started on a fairly limited basis in terms of services and has drawn on both European and American ideas. But even from the beginning they were providing lawyers to go into court for single mothers to establish orders- bot paternity orders and child support orders. It appears that progress is now being made on the actual collection of support.

It depends on what you're looking for. Technically, it can be rough at times - some cheesy CGI & visual effects, some awkward editing and fight choreo, and a cast with a wide range of acting levels. However, from a storytelling perspective, it's one of the most gloriously subversive shows I've ever watched, not just from Asia, but from anywhere. It does narrative things that I've never seen a show do, and does them so naturally, I found myself constantly rewinding to make sure I'd just seen what I thought I'd seen. If you're looking for a show that doesn't just fully embrace its queerness but also sets out to rewrite centuries of codes and norms around masculinity and honor, you've come to the right place.

1. Itaewon Class

4. Doona

10. Signal

There may be some recency bias with Doona since I just watched it. I'm also not sure it belongs anyway because it's so much shorter (9 40-minute episodes) than the others. I guess the same is true of Pachinko (8 one-hour episodes in season 1), at least until season two is released. 2521, Misaeng or Familiar Wife would probably be next up.

I usually don't watch any extras, but I thoroughly enjoyed BTS clips of Like Flowers In Sand.
