It was different retelling of a story we know so well. Although, it didn’t make Beth’s death any less painful or Jo-Laurie’s unfulfilled pairing less regretful.
I know. I still cried over Beth’s death, and the way Mr.Laurence could not enter the house because he knew Beth wouldn’t be there was just heartbreaking.
And yes. I dearly wished both Jo and Teddy ended up being a couple but she knew herself well when she told him she didn’t love him that way. I think her mother knocked the sense into her again by telling her that she didn’t love Teddy, so I was fine thinking that both Jo and Teddy just weren’t meant to be together.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Florence Pugh as Amy (WOW).

But it was the best treatment of Amy so far.
