The feeling of Jon Allen’s lyrics and acoustic guitar remind me of Jim Croce, Dan Fogelberg, and Don McLean. He’s got a lovely way with words, and paints gorgeously emotive pictures with them.
“Happy Now” sounds like a cross between The Band and Rod Stewart — with vibraphone and that great B3 sound.
