Woke up to a wonderful story on the radio this morning and thought of all you Beanies around the world. I know you will understand: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p071xbmc
She said she was 30? I was expecting her to be younger for all the changes she made.
I wonder what it is like to be an expat? If she does move. To feel like your home is really in another country.
All I could think was this young woman living in Iraq which has seen so much war and hardship over the past 20 years and how brave she is to explore the world. Good for her!
I was only half awake when all of a sudden I heard the translator say how romantic they were that they even celebrated every 100 days of the relationship. At that point, I stopped what I was doing, and sure enough, she was talking about Korean dramas.
I just finished watching it and it was marvelous @doublefault – thank you!
Al-Jazeera is one of my favorite news sites and I check it often but missed that show. I so hope she is able to go study EE.
I would have never thought of a Korean fan club in Iraq all places.
It’s great to see a side of Iraq that not everyone gets to see. I commend BBC and AJ for featuring such stories. I wish Heba all the best and I hope she gets to fulfill her dream.
