Soo-ho (Kim Jung-hyun) overhears Ji-hyun’s (Seohyun) plans and intercepts her the next morning, offering to drive her on his way. He just happens to have surveillance gear and a cooler full of food in the trunk of his car.

Seeing his antics makes me want to start this show but I have a sneaking suspicion that the clips are just showing the fun parts and the rest of the 57 minutes are all tragic.

they are not that tragic but rather scheming, plotting and screaming crazy antics by second male - female lead (so far).
tragedy has hit but is covered so well by all politics and scheming

Well for the good part the leads take up half the screen time and like @kdramaswimmer said, the rest is the scheming and plotting done by the secondary characters. It has really poignant moments and quite fun moments like this so it’s a balanced show.
