The poster’s out for “campus romance youth sageuk drama” Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and the image basically tells us what we need to know: It’s comedic, romantic, and definitely not your parents’ sageuk.
The photo features Micky Yoochun with Park Min-young, with the word “Shh!” written between them. He plays lead character Sun-joon — rich, talented, smart — while she plays Yoon-hee, a girl who dresses as a boy to enter the school at Sungkyunkwan. S/he falls in with Sun-joon’s crowd, which is rounded out by rebellious Jae-shin (Yoo Ah-in) and playboy Yong-ha (Song Joong-ki). Naturally hormones get involved, some wires get crossed, and hijinks ensue.
The production team also opened up an official Twitter account at http://twitter.com/@scandal2010 to open up more lines of communication with its viewing public.
The KBS Monday-Tuesday drama will premiere on August 30.

aha.. you’re right.. I just saw the article, SS comes in 1st. And, playful Kiss actually is the second one. Phewww.. I got a bit confused after seeing the PK thread on Soompi keep increasing everyday compare to SS. That’s why I thought this one is not as popular as PK.

Even though I feel like we’ve had too many girls-dressing-as-boys dramas, I’m really looking forward to this. At least in historical times, it actually made sense for a girl to dress up as a boy to access opportunities she couldn’t normally, like an education. Unlike the laughable premise of, say, Hana Kimi. *rolls eyes* Although I admit I watched and enjoyed that drama, lol.
Plus it’s such an original setting for a saeguk, that although I normally avoid saeguks, I will watch this! Maybe it’s prompted by my love for Tamra the Island
ehh wht abt the other 2 guys in the ‘gang’? not in the poster? but there r always at least 4 characters in drama poster, rounding out the main love entanglement (cuz its never just a triangle.)

Maybe he is the director? I am excited, one of the best things about this drama is that because Yoochun is the lead in this drama there will be fast subs. Power of the fangirls.

I do want to look forward to this and in the beginning I was….but I kind of got turned off by Park Min Young’s comment that they are all very close and are just inseparable…..I don’t know I just had the feeling that it was a bit of a trying too hard kind of comment…..I mean with YAB, they never advertised in the beginning that they were close but you sort of feel it in the movie that bts they are closer…I don’t know if you guys get what I am saying….for me you don’t have to say that we are close because the audience will definitely see that and feel that even without that comment….I will still try to watch it though….See how it will turn out but my interest sort of waned with this series….= (

based on the official poster i thought it’ll have a tamra the island feel but after i saw the highlights, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lkA7LwDrg4 i felt otherwise. it kinda reminded me of jejoongwon/painter of the wind.
I really would love to watch this for Song Joong-Ki and Yoo Ah-In, but the plot is not that appealing to me.
