Yoon Shi-yoon begins filming on One Hundred Percent

Last year’s breakout star Yoon Shi-yoon has just begun filming on his new movie, One Hundred Percent, where he plays a former pro golfer who develops aphasia — a language disorder — after an accident. Heading to a mountain village for recuperation, he comes across an elementary school that’s on the brink of closure and becomes a teacher there in a warm “human comedy.”
Note: The title is a pun (Koreans love them their puns!), wherein it it can be read either as 100% or Baek Pro, in reference to this character’s name, Baek Se-jin. The “pro” in the second meaning alludes to his former golfer status (people call him Baek Pro as a nickname), but probably also carries other symbolic connotations.
The first day of shoots, pictured in these stills, took place at the small branch school, which features only six students. Feeling sorry for these kids, Baek Pro tries to help out by playing teacher, which is an exercise in awkwardness and exacerbated by his aphasia, a condition that hampers one’s ability to communicate.
Each of the six kids has a distinct personality, and communicate to their handsome teacher from Seoul with expressions and gestures. While Yoon Shi-yoon almost looks too baby-faced to be teaching young’uns (he’s 24), I can picture him playing the bumbling oppa (and hyung) to the adorable hilt. Aw, I can feel my cynical old heart melting already.
One Hundred Percent will shoot through March, and plans to release in the summer.

I just saw him do a guest spot on 'Once Upon a Time in Saengchori' a show which I'm enjoying more and more as it progresses. I think he'll make a great oppa to little kids. Look forward to this movie. Thanks for the heads up JB.

I love Saengchori but to be honest I'm really apprehensive because the people behind it are the same one behind the High Kick series. I mean, the HK series were great overall, but tend to have this twisted/shocking ending that doesn't stay true to the series. The latest HK's ending was nuts, and I'm not excited to see that happening again here.

i decided to watch it and it really does get better with each episode! it makes me laugh out loud so many times. yoon shi yoon was hilarious as joo wan. i think that was my favorite episode so far

Retired Pro Golfer turned Teacher - what's not to like? This King of Baking looks like he will make us want to become golfers and teachers as much as we wanted to go into baking after watching Kim Tak Goo!

I know how frustrating can not speak what's already in mind, not even can find exact word to speak, & words become no meaning :( I don't like sport movie/drama, which I thought this movie is one of them, but I guess not. The premise seem good, I'll watch it if I can find its DVD :P

i can't wait to see this movie....he was awesome in Baker King & fr then on came to like him and love him! He's such a cutie & sweet down to earth person in most of the interviews etc i've seen of him! Hope this movie is a success! fighting YSY!
