Dramabeans Meetup in NYC

Hey guys, the date of the Dramabeans Meetup is fast approaching, so we wanted to give you the final details of when and where to come meet us. If you’re in the New York area, stop by The 13th Step for a drink and talk dramas with the DB crew, including our lovely recap minions. We’ll be in the Vice & Virtue Room (we wanted vice only but damn that virtue had to tag along). It is a 21+ event, so you have two weeks to get your fakes made. [A joke! Hahahaha, nervous laughing, totally not serious or endorsing criminal activity in any way.]
DATE: Thursday, April 11, 2013
TIME: 7pm – 10pm
PLACE: The 13th Step (in the East Village), Vice & Virtue Room

If you need to contact us the day of, feel free to email or tweet us (@javabeans and @girlfriday_db), or scream, “Omagaaaawd it’s Lee Min-ho!” and head in the general direction of the ensuing stampede. But since I’m pretty sure there will be heels and liquor involved, we recommend the first two options.

ughhhhhh ... just when i am now so much nearer to NYC, i still can't make it ... if only if only my school ends one week earlier, then i'll absolutely fly over from UK ....
i'm sure this meeting will be absolutely successful, how bout having regular half year meetings so that we can all go at least once :) or once a year? and we can book our flights ...
argh, i so wanna goo ....

Great going guys and gals. U have the date and place and the wonderful DB team behind it. I actually reviewed the post of 6 pages where we identified where we are. Now, I don't know about javabeans and co. Vacation plans are, but I counted 29 from Australia and nz area. Would it not be enough reason to come downunder jB? Please tell us when you are coming. Also, let me throw this invite to the handful kiwis here-- I'd be happy to organize one happy hour meet. I know of one other DBer or should I say kdrama addict. So I don't mind broadcasting when we meet up. I wonder how I would do that though?

I first started reading DB when I was residing in Paris 4 years ago, I then moved back to Phnom Penh in 2010 and now 2013, I am in NY and still read DB daily.

Man I swore off the DB site for Lent (twitter doesn't count) and just look at what I missed! Alas living half the globe away doesn't help. When we have time we should do mass meet ups around the world and just do live tele-conferences around at the same time. That's ...a logistics nightmare but damn fun.

Ugh, finally turned 18 yesterday, thought I had finally gained the freedom of an adult but alas, another age roadblock is preventing me from enjoying fun stuffs :(.
There has got to be another NYC meetup in 3yrs! Or yunno, lower the age requirement... fake ids are expensive :(.

My school's 3 blocks from there..and i'm usually in school all day.. and my thursday class ends at 6..
BUT..i work uptown ON THURSDAY EVENINGS till 8:30!!! You guys are going to make me run+travel a lot... :-/
jk :P I'm so glad I can attend! ..even if it's just the tail end of the meetup! (although I think we'll stick around until pretty late ;))

Since I'm living in a far away land (as many others), i'd suggest a live telecast, or if it's too hard to do, at least a recorded podcast later to let us hear all the fun! I dont mind listening to a bunch of nonsensical ramblings!

so wishing i could be there with you guys....have fun for all of us who cant make it and have a Ball & a Blast! KDrama style! a group photo to capture the Kodak moment would be great,but a short video or even an impromptu pod-cast would be soooooo awesome!!!! Do consider it PLIZZZZZ!
