girlfriday: Ooh, Lucky Romance already? They’re so cute together!

javabeans: Even if they have the same hair.

girlfriday: I was just thinking, I actually like Hwang Jung-eum’s hair! It’s a first for me. Even though maybe I like it because it’s Ryu Joon-yeol’s hair. Don’t you think she’ll find some way to mess it up for the drama though?

javabeans: We’re never safe where her hair’s concerned, since she seems to enjoy experimenting with ugly hairstyles. I’m glad to see they look so cozy and sweet together, although I don’t think this is necessarily indicative of their characters’ relationship in the drama — it’s just the first tease released by CJ E&S, right after the cast held their first script reading.

girlfriday: Yeah they’ll probably be at each other’s throats in the drama, but it’s nice to see that there will be chemistry once we get to the happy love part (there is a happy love part, right?).

javabeans: We’re not even going to contemplate the alternative. They’ll fall in love and be super cute and May and June will be full of bubbly rom-com goodness.

girlfriday: GOOD. Some of us still have emotional scars, yunno.

javabeans: Denial. I highly recommend it.

girlfriday: Who’s this Ryu Joon-yeol guy who’s never been in dramas before? He’s very handsome.

javabeans: I don’t know, but I’m sure this will be his breakout role. It’ll be great.

Their chemistry is so good! This is only a BTS picture for a photoshoo and they are already WOW. Can't wait for the A-cuts and of course, i cant wait for the drama to finally air!

I love the simplicity of the black and white. Seems more like a fashion photoshoot than a rom com teaser. Still, I'll take the pretty and enjoy it until more teasers come out.

Only in 99% of the romance/kdrama/manga canon, tsundere is like the male lead gold standard, so he's safe if he decides to capitalize on that pose 4ever, since girls are so awesome at over-reading male disinterest anyways lolllll.

Now that made me snort. In office. In front of my boss. And I had to act like I had phlegm. Which believe me, is not embarrassing at all. Not.

I don't have any post-1988 scars (because, well, Taekie) but I am a major Ryu fan after both 1988 and Youth Over Flowers. Plus Ryu Joon-yeol and Hwang Jung-eum look mighty good together. And I love their hair too. I am so looking forward to this show. I think I am suffering from a drama-dearth(if that is a phrase) and I am in desperate need of a pick- me- up.

I so agree with you... my interest in this show has now, for very superficial reasons (because, pretty), increased tenfold.

I don't find HJE as annoying as other people, and her look in these shots alone has me seeing her in a different light. She and Ryu look so classy together!

Lol, when I just took a quick glance at the front page of DB I thought it's a picture of RJY for a CF or magazine shoot and the person next to him is Park Bogum (haha apparently I'm way too invested in their bromance XD) before I saw the intertwined fingers. Then saw the title and was like, oh it's for Lucky Romance, didn't expect black and white pics but who's that girl? Finally clicked on the article, read it, starred at the pictures for a good minute and still can't recognize HJE, it's crazy. But dang they look amazing together, can we have May already please?

RJY is already playing his character in the photos and he is so charming that I have to calm myself before I watched the photos a second time and HJE is really really cute and I love her hair ( after FH2 I'm always a little scared about her hair lol)

I love RJY! Period. He is so handsome in the pics! And I def agree the interlocked fingers are yiiieeee! Though, am I the only one kinda sad to see him play another character? He'll forever be Junghwan to me. (Yep, the R88 scars are def still there).

But I am happy for his success, I do hope this drama does well. I've never really been a fan of HJE, but maybe this'll be the drama to do it.

Whenever I look at pictures of the drama couples even before the drama starts to air (e.g. Secret Love Affair) and I feel their chemistry, I'm positive that they'll deliver it in the drama very well! This is one example of that :) I can't wait for May!

When I read javabeans/ girlfriday mentioning bubbly rom com goodness and denial and emotional scars, I'm thought Reply 1988 and then immediately Cheese In The Trap?! Funny how I thought about CITT came to mind as well- all that bubbly good stuff went down the drain; happy ending- no such thing! Sprinkling positive fairy dust on this!
