Ms. Temper features finale cameo with Yoon Shi-yoon

Yoon Shi-yoon is all set to make his drama comeback in a JTBC weekend drama (that would be the fantasy fusion sageuk Mirror of the Witch), but first, we’ll actually get to see him in another JTBC weekend drama, because he’s signed up for a cameo appearance in the soon-to-wrap Ms. Temper and Nam Jung-ki.

It makes sense, since what better way to remind people to watch your show than to pop up in the one before it? Producers with Ms. Temper said they thought it would be fun to feature the star of their successor show, and he agreed to their request right away. Details of Yoon’s character weren’t revealed, but producers promise that it’ll fit smoothly into the plot. Well I should hope so.

Yoon’s appearance joins a robust cameo lineup for the show, with previous appearances featuring comedians Kim Sook and Yoon Jung-soo, singer Cheetah, idol-actress Dohee, and Lee Jung-jin and Yeon Jung-hoon playing the heroine’s ex-husbands (though I suppose you could say the roles of the exes were rather extended for cameos). Well, I wouldn’t mind a little extra Yoon Shi-yoon on my screen, that’s for sure.

Yoon’s appearance comes in the drama’s finale episode, which airs this Saturday, May 7. His drama, Mirror of the Witch, premieres next week, on Friday, May 13.

Hehe JB if you want more YSY on your computer screen please do watch 1N2D. He seems to fit well already with the other members on his debut episode on Sunday.

Lol, I loved that episode so much that I made a whole website just to recap it.

So drop by if you're interested!

DongGu is perfect for 1N2D. And he's so much more confident and cheeky compared to when he was in Barefoot(ed) Friends.

Hi milktea, did you watch Barefoot Friends where he was a regular cast member? Loved that show even though it had some misguided episodes at times. YSY is back!

in other news, this show continues to amaze and delight me.
I can already think of a few things YSY could end up doing in the finale but either way I know it'll be funny.
I cant believe its ending alrdy. I'm excited but also kinda sad. Since I doubt I'll be watching Mirror of the Witch. controversy aside, its not a genre i'm usually taht excited about either.
I'll just have to wait patiently till Lucky Romance starts cuz no other kdramas are pulling me in lately. Ms Temper is the only one I've been watching.

Yoon Shi Yoon joined 1N2D and has already shaken things up. he's thoughtful and smart and gives the cast of pranksters a run for their money (except for the trademark salt in the drink trick which never grows old). He promised to stick with the show for at least 2 years. They are calling him by his birth name Dong Gu on the show even though he legally changed his name to YSY. I'm head over heels now that YSY is back from the military and will appear in a number of Korean shows. This is just great!

I'm curious. What are the English translations of the two names?

Is there a reason Dong Gu isn't a good stage name?

Even now, does DongGu sound like an actor's name? It sounds a bit countrified, haha!

Although it's interesting that he had it legally changed instead of just using ShiYoon as a stage name.

I can only tell you the translations if given the Hanja characters of his name.

Actually, Dong Gu is his real name and he changed it to Yoon Shi Yoon. This link has some interesting info on our YSY:

I'm going to go back and try to find the Barefoot Friends episode where he explained his name change, but yes it has something to do with being raised in the country and having a traditional education and wanting a stage name. Not sure if Viki still has all the subbed episodes available (there were 25 or 26). If I find out more, I'll let you know!

I was thinking the same thing. Only one episode viewed but I think he did very well and will fit right in with the gang. And though I saw some comments about his lack of fashion sense, you only had to watch to see that it was not by choice.

Hehe am looking forward to his cameo! But so sad that Ms Temper is coming to an end.
I really love this drama and how it portrayed all the workplace stereotypes and discrimination. The themes hit home more than a couple of times and everyone's acting was always on point, even for cameos.
Deputy Chief Han young-mi's (Reply88's sun woo's mum) acting seriously gave me a run for my money, I hope she gets casted in more shows after this!

I didn't know what to think about Ms. Temper until I gave it a chance when I was bored. I marathoned 12 episodes over a weekend. Such a good show. And now followed by my fave YSY. I'm a happy camper.

Wow, Ms. Temper and Nam Jung-ki's finale is this Saturday - feels like it snuck up here fast. I've enjoyed the show tremendously and it's great to have Yoon Shi-yoon back in dramaland.

Yeay, for his cameo. Maybe he will be Chansung rival or buddy in that drama.

Can he challenge Chansung in a shirtless model battle? Those 99 shades of lipsticks are not going to sell themselves.

I was so hyped after watching him in 1N2D. He's become quite muscular nowadays and I don't usually like abs and the kinds but I admit to drooling a bit as I watched him undressing.

I really like Ms. Temper and Nam Jun Ki! It somewhat reminds me of Miss Korea, a show that was a pleasant surprise, (maybe the cosmetics part) and its somewhat melancholic, realistic vibe.

Oops, that came out pretty confusing. I meant to say Ms. Temper reminds me of Miss Korea because of the cosmetics thing and the underdog company storyline.

Nooooooo. I don't want my drama to end soon :( I am not ready to say bye bye to Ms Temper, Lovely teams, NJK's family.. One of those drama which you dont need romance in the air. Most important thing, I dont know when LYW will have a new project again. hmmm...

Anyway, I think his cameo will not be like YAI and Kwang Soo in DOTS, he will at least has few screentimes, not just 1,2 minutes. ;P

Please stop misusing the term cameo for guest appearances. A cameo is a brief special appearance where a celeb often (but not always) plays their real self. For instance when Park Shin Hye delivered coffee on Entertainer last week, or Cheetah appeared as herself doing autographs, those are cameos. Any larger part is a guest star appearance.

His appearance was great, especially because it totally caught me off guard as I missed this article. Can't believe he's completed army service, he still looks barely 20.
