Oh Snap! Shin Mina finds the secret to eternal youth and doesn’t share

It’s drinking unicorn blood, isn’t it? Orrrr she just has great genes and an even better dermatologist, but you thought about it for a second, didn’t you? It’s okay. We all have our doubts.

Pictured here in a small spread for Elle Korea, the eternally youthful actress shows off her timeless good looks in that effortless, elegant way she’s so good at. What, do I seem like the type to buy Shin Mina’s sponsored skincare line after watching Oh My Venus? Well, for your information, I am. I sooo am. (It’s too soon for a verdict yet, but here’s hoping!)

Love her makeup in this. This sounds weird, but her skin actually looks real. Like it's making her glow and look healthy and beautiful. Not that Shin Mina needs makeup. Her as Miho was proof enough that she's Korea's representative natural beauty.

Fangirls may be jealous of SMA for dating KWB but holy crap I'm 1000x more jealous of KWB to have such a beauty by his side.

She's breathtakingly beautiful in this cat-like way.

They are super cute together. I honestly don't understand why people hate those fave celebrity's partner. The likely hood of meeting your fave and falling in love with them is so extremely low lol. They should just be happy that their bias has found love and is happy.

Nah, I'm jelly of both of them. Right from the first Giordano photoshoot I was mesmerized by their chemistry and wanted them to work together. But everything played out even better heh

She finds him attractive, that's the only thing that matters. Also, pretty face not most important thing in relationships. All those stars works with hundreds pretty faces around themselves for many, but for some reasons choose only few to date. Character and attitude, that what counts.

You should check back "A love to kill" — the one she didi with Rain in 2005; and "The Devil" with Ju Ji Hoon in 2007.

The girls does age very gracefully. Positive attitude and happy disposition in life — plus factors, perhaps?

I've seen them both, long ago - she has nuclear levels of chemistry with both her leading men in those dramas, and I loved a good melo back then (The Devil was the superior one by far)

and this may be db blasphemy but she looked better with Rain and Joo Ji-hoon than she did with Lee Seung-gi in Gumiho.

And yes, I second Mary and Crysta ~ definitely a good idea to rewatch Gumiho for the umpteenth time.

She is one of my favorite actresses. The first drama that I watched her in was in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. :)

I adore her and think she's stunning and charming. Psss... Just between me and the Internet- the secret is Botox. I'm not hating on her, just being honest. Her forehead does not move in OMV. I don't like the myth that we can all achieve these results with lots of water and good genetics. She's beautiful - but has a lil extra help.

if she was botoxed in OMV, it was well done - her face was fairly expressive, so clearly it didn't restrict much, if any, of her facial range of motion.

I'm not surprised an actress would have botox, but at least she's steered clear of major surgical interventions and isn't likely to suddenly show up with an artificially shaved-down jaw or a newly pointy chin, nose or bigger eyes.

It was well done, not distracting. I notice because I work with several women who also have botox so I'm fairly observant to the lack of movement.

Regardless, she was really likeable and funny in that show and I am a fan of hers.

I really really don't remember now, last thing I watched her in was arang and the magistrate, but perhaps she's one of those people who don't move their forehead much? Some people move it a lot and some people hardly at all, naturally. Like some people move their hands a lot when talking and some don't.
But from what I understand there are also some fluids with vitamins or something that women inject into their skin to slow down aging, perhaps she does that?
But regardless, she and kang sora are the most beautiful east Asian actresses IMHO. Inhumanly beautiful.

Doubt it - SMA has a very expressive face.

Required fields are marked *

Probably yes. I am not really noticing things like this, but Botox or whatever things are necessary to maintain it. It is too cliche if some ppl said their beauty just because of genes and lots of water.

For me to maintain the health and beauty it takes a lot. Botox or whatever injection sometimes are necessary.

Lol what? Did you ACTUALLY think she found the secret to eternal youth? The title is completely tongue-in-cheek, as are many of the titles on DB (especially for the Oh Snap! articles). JB, GF, and the rest of the crew and pretty cheeky writers. That's part of what makes their writing so appealing and fun to read.

oh goodness, it's called hyperbole. Or humour. It's a style of writing, I understand you may not have much experience of the latter especially.

You know just between you and I ( plus all the DB readers ) I feel as if DB and ockoala has been invaded by allkpop readers or a new generation can't- spell- or- type immature readers. Between this and the recent " Lee Seung Gi " is bald comment I wonder where the heck or if they even think before typing. They certainly press " send " without checking .

Am i the only one who didn't really like My girlfriend is a Gumiho? I mean I didn't dislike it but it is not amongst my favorites. I think it picked up at around ep 10. All episodes before that were only cute. Though I loved the actors and Shin Min ah is obviously beautiful.

I like MGIAG but I don't love it. Though I do love her in it.

When it comes to her dramas, I prefer Arang, both story/setting/plot-wise as well as chemistry/romance-wise.

I keep meaning to watch My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.

I've only seen Shin Mi-na in Arang & the Magistrate, and though she was adorable and a great character, I thought that the drama did her a disservice.

It slowly became one of those dramas where the heroine is only there for the hero's development; by the final episodes, Arang was lucky if she had one or two lines per episode. I actually dropped the drama with only the finale left to watch because I felt that it had departed so much from its original focus on the heroine.

same. Arang was 100x better.

Same, wasn't a big fan of it either and actually like Arang a lot better. But I still watched it because Shin Min Ah was so adorable as Miho.

I am also not particularly love it. But that drama introduced SMA to me. Among her projects, tbh I just love Arang.

I don't think I got beyond episode 1. I can't even remember much – just that I found her character annoying and the guy too stupid?

Maybe I should try it again? Dunno. I tried and just couldn't be bothered, but maybe I didn't give it a fair shot (normally I give dramas 4-6 episodes before bailing, or 2 for those that are totally unbearable)?

Required fields are marked *

damn she is GORGEOUS. But that's not news.

I'm more taken with her makeup in the first pic - I see the winged eyeliner is pointing down rather than upwards to form a typical cat eye. It's interesting, because the downward flick is something I have to do if I ever want winged liner because my eyes are downward-slanting, I never thought someone with naturally upward-tilted eyes would wear their eyeliner drawn like that on purpose.

and I am normally SO not a fan of lipstick that's darker on the outside and lighter on the inside (worst of the 90s, ugh) but on her it's a nice change from the typical kpop dying-from-consumption lip.

Required fields are marked *

Yup. flawless makeup in first picture. I like the eye shadow(s). I'm thinking they use more than one shade but it looks good. Light/natural with a bit of shimmer~
lmao.. that kpop gradient lips looks good in mv but not so much in real life tbh. kpop MUA need to find/create new trend.

Required fields are marked *

I think that style of eyeliner is called a puppy eye, as opposed to the cat eye, and gives a more youthful look. I can't do it, because my eyelid and eye crease eat anything that dares to oppose it, but I noticed she used it a lot in Oh My Venus with a soft brown eyeliner pencil - very effective; majorly envious she can carry it off!

And I always of the outside darker, inside lighter, because I have larger lips and they look clownish without that extra touch of dimension/lip contouring ;_;

I had the same reaction. She's young so of course she looks young! But then I thought...what would HeadsNo2 have to say about how gorgeous these photos look if she didn't talk about how magically beautiful Shin Mina looks all the time?

As people have said, there's makeup and photoshop involved but underneath all that, she's drop dead gorgeous.
