My neighbor’s keeper:
“A woman mentioned to her neighbor that she was out of work and her elderly neighbor left this on her doorstep”
This elderly lady inspired me to do something for my neighbors.
Yesterday I went to Costco and ended up shopping for 2 other families. One is a family of 4. Both parents has low immune system that I didn’t know about. The other are the sweetest elderly couple in my area. The wife has asthma and the husband is recovering from back surgery. Their children are out of state and they are trying their best to help them.
It was awkward to ask because I’m an introvert but it turned out well :).
I think Ike’s like these, we really need to focus more on the positives, on the kindness of others, and consider the kindness that we can extend to others. It’s admittedly a bit of a struggle for me to focus on the positives sometimes, because it’s just my mom and myself at home with each other most of the time (my sister goes back and forth between home with us & her bf’s place…. I know— #whatisphysicaldistencing 🙄🙄😒😒 Yes, I’m unimpressed with my sister, but I’m not going to say anything because she’s a grown a** adult and should have a brain to think for herself and others) and my mom is HEAVILY xenophobic towards China, so once she starts, it doesn’t stop for a while and I have to either sit through her rants or choose to ignore her a lot of times 🥺
Thank you!
There are so many inspiring act of kindness from all over the world. If we look for the positive we’d find it. I prefer that over news. I don’t know what/who to believe.
Kindness is contagious.
My mom still thinks I’m a kid. Every time I walk through the door she yells from her room WASH YOUR HANDS lol.
I think our mom puts up with us a lot. Maybe we just need to let them vent :).
