    I’m still not sure what this expression was??? Was it a sad smile??? I’m not for HJ and WS but I don’t want him sad about not getting WS either??? Wasn’t the jjajangmyun just to be nice???

    Sorry this came off as a rant, I don’t want HJ to be a noble idiot either, I hope the show doesn’t go there haha

      I think it was sad smile…but his only display of romantic attraction to Woo-Sung was driving fast so jjajangmyun wouldn’t get spoiled. It isn’t like he searched for that particular restaurant or told her something nice without ulterior motives….
      At the moment, the only believable love line in Hyun Jae’s life is Hyun Jae/call phone

    Why do I feel that, that smile is from a proud dad to his son that finally confesses his love to the girl he’s been in love with for a very long time.

      Actually I saw both, which made it so poignant: proud of his son, yet sad because he can’t get closer to WS now (and I’m not sure he has romantic feelings – yet).

    I do get a sad vibe from his look though. I had never detected any romantic tendency toward WS on his part up until last week's episode, but his buying that specific dish for her and this scene change what I thought. I think this week will provide a clearer answer as to HJ's feelings.
