I think she was part scared for her life—this guy killed two men on the street in front of her without hesitation or remorse—but also because she remembers when she was a child, that chance meeting with him that unsettled her so much. And have you even seen his eyes that pierce you to your soul? Would that not make you emotional? Gah, I just can’t. I teared up too.

@ally-le and @tacourtn If I may jump in here, I don’t think she’s scared at this very instant. She knows what he’s capable of but she also knows he wouldn’t hurt her. Her tear-filled eyes are for things lost, not for any possible loss in the immediate moment.

It was certainly a charged moment and there are so many more things to say about it for sure.

I think it was her calmness in the face of danger—her dignity is at stake—that led to tears. But any interpretation is valid because we don’t really know what’s going on in that moment in her mind.
