My cats mostly ignore me morning and afternoon, but evenings I get a lot of this. Makes it had to post DB comments, because I use a wireless keyboard in my lap. Sometimes the keyboard just gets put on top of a cat.

This is Dobby. He was a starving stray when I met him, and weighed only 5 pounds 6 ounces when I took him to the vet, after feeding him an all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinners for the 3 previous nights. He’s about 13 pounds now. My other cat (Sirius) is solid black and photographs about like a lump of coal. Don’t expect a lot of pictures of him.

Picture quality is better than I expected considering these are blind selfies with the flash off to avoid startling the cat, taken by holding a 10-year-old pocket camera more-or-less over my head. In a few days I may have some comparison shots with a new mid-range smart-phone.

He is adorable and i am happy he gets too much love from you!

Lets keep showing the world that adopting strays are the best thing.

All my cats (4 since 2002) were strays, and there used to be so many other strays I could have gotten twice as many. But now coyotes have moved into my neighborhood and the supply of stray cats has ended. #notgonnaadoptanycoyotes

First cat (avatar & banner cat) was the Best Cat Ever. If he had been a jerk I wouldn’t have been such a sucker for the others.

2nd cat was a bit of a jerk — I posted about him last year http://www.dramabeans.com/members/lordcobol/activity/234594/

      3rd cat is Dobby.

4th cat (Sirius) is too timid to be a good pet, but he grew up with hawks dive-bombing the bushes to try to scare him out into the open, and I think he saw one of his litter-mates get eaten, so I can’t really blame him.

Thats scary! I pray you and your cats are safe from those predator canines.

My parents adopt cats before i was born.. i personally take in strays when my family broke up and i started live on my own about 10 years ago. I lost count of how many (most of the open ground where i live are my previous cats graveyard) but at the moment i have 6 adult and 2 kittens. From time to time my dad comes to check on the cats and get them to the vet.

I had a cat like your avatar cat and he also was the Best Cat Ever. A bit crazy and knocked everything off every shelf, but super friendly and great with kids who tormented him. (I might have tormented him a bit as well.) I miss him a lot, I’m reminded of him every time I see your comments!

Cats normally let kids tormented them, right? One of mine always following around when there are kids in my house (i call him Hero 😜 because he was the smallest tiniest when he was born and his mom always left him alone so the name was kind of 🤣🤣🤣 to lift up his spirit .. his mom never really got to him until her death and Hero grew up into a fine lad because of his doting human mom! ☺ i think because of his condition he always desperate for attention, always looking for people to at least pet his head)

Nice! My other cats ran to hide in the furthest corners of the house whenever they heard a kid coming. Only the black one stayed and even let the kids pull his tail or ears without biting or scratching them.
