Beanies!
After talking about how great k-dramas are for what feels like forever… my roommate FINALLY caved-in an started watching one. She’s set a high standard for herself by starting with Forest of Secrets. It’s safe to say she’s loving it, and ofc I couldn’t help myself and join along to rewatch it.
Now that she’s got a foot in, I will do my best to make her stay in dramaland! 💪

The downside is the expectation that every kdrama is gonna be that good or close to it.

Forest of Secrets should be the standard but is not the norm.

I definitely told her that as well, but she wanted to go straight in.
I’d recommended some dramas I think are good for beginners. Zippy, addictive and fun to watch. Something like: My Love From Another Star, Healer, WFKBJ, DOTS.

Yuyuu that’s so awesome and I’m so jealous!! My roommates never deigned to watch a kdrama with me no matter how much I talked about them…

Keep us updated on her journey into dramaland!

I will definitely try to push her down the rabbit hole!
Maybe with a bit of chance, I will actually find someone to fangirl with IRL! 😭

I’m lucky that my best friend is into kdramas too. Not nearly as much as me but it’s still nice to have someone to squee with in real life!! She indulges me and lets me choose most of the ones we watch together, hehe.

          That’s so nice!
I have sisters that also love k-dramas, but we don’t live together and can only fangirl IRL every 3 months when I visit them (we do fangirl over the phone a lot, lol). Everyone else I know isn’t into it 🙁

That’s so wonderful! Your roommate is setting the standard high with FoS but there are many gems that she can follow that with. Life on Mars and Trap are some of my favorites from the past year or so. 🙂
