That’s the thing I find weird as well. Jung-rok was talking about “protecting” Yoon-seo by not having sex with her (without asking for her opinion on the matter) as though we’re supposed to find him chivalrous or something but it just…made me feel icky.
But then he asked if he could cross the line… or did I misunderstand?
And even in that scene above, he said he was joking about the script, so I took for granted that he was talking about having sex again.
I posted too soon — right after I saw the 3rd screen shot and before I got to the joke part.
If I had watched another minute before posting I would have included a shot of the joke line, and the caption would have been something like “Thank goodness, for a minute there I thought I was watching a kdrama.”
No, you didn’t misunderstand. I was just being grumpy about the thing with the pillows, which I felt was unnecessary. I guess they did kind of redeem themselves with the scenes that came later, so I’ll try to keep the grumbling to a minimum.
In this case I found the thing with the pillows funny, because she was so clearly frustrated, but he was so late to understand – as always – and proud of his “protection” that I found him adorable like a little boy.

Yes, it’s a kdrama, in case you forgot. And time to revisit the archive.

The thing with kdramas is they have to emphasize the non sexual thing, as if they want to show that a guy is a gentleman if he’s timid with sex.
