Okay, how crazy it is that I actually welcomed the lowkey conflicts between our new couple this eps? I expected the penultimate hour to be a full blast fluff, and yet I found myself getting drawn to the small frictions that peppered it.
Tbh, I was a bit uncomfortable with the way Ga-hee’s siblings kept knowingly intruded on their date. But then, when Min-ik smiled fondly at them, I realized that this was probably a perfect outing for him. Not only did he got to go on his first date with Gal-hee, he was also able to experience what it felt like to spend time with a real family. Besides, it’s a nice surprise to see Gal-hee retained her bolder Veronica-like attitude around him. 😉
(And yes, I love love the fact that now it doesn’t matter anymore for Min-ik that he couldn’t see Gal-hee’s face. His heart always knows it’s her, and that’s the only important thing.)
I have to say that I like the conflict that was brought by the dispatch worker’s hunger strike. It highlighted the differences between our leads clearly: Min-ik who felt hurt and betrayed in the worst way possible, and Gal-hee who couldn’t help but sympathized with her fellow colleagues because she knew too well that she was just so darn lucky to have a good boss. The best thing though, is how it also highlighted the way they understand and respect each other’s choices. Just like this lovely, almost wordless show of support.
I probably should have been more worried about what might happened in the next eps, given this cliffhanger. But since this drama has proven that it handled conflict quite well, I trust that there will be a healthy dose of happy ending with sprinkle of cute (and sexy) time on top. Lots of it.
Yes! I really liked this conflict and honestly wished the show had explored it a bit more. I think that Min-ik was valid in being mad at the vigilante secretaries for what happened to him, but I love even more that he stepped up and did what was best for everyone in the end at his own sacrifice. If I have one complaint about this drama it’s that I wish the show had spent a little more time showing Min-ik growing into a better leader and more empathetic person because of his face blindness.
a big yes to that.. all that figuring out real GH could have been cut to couple of episodes and we could have seen a matured leader in Do Min Ik who knows abt his workers and can lead the company better
They really dragged that out – I suspect to make Veronica Park have a larger role, but there were so many other ways they could’ve done that. I enjoyed this drama but there were just so many little things that they could’ve done with the story to take it from merely cute to really excellent. But the chemistry between the leads makes up for what it lacks enough that I’m not mad at it for that.
lol..the chemistry here was everything indeed… it made up for everything which dint work at all… i cant be mad as well…. I am just so happy, satisfied an content
I also went in without any expectation whatsoever than hoping for cute and fun romcom. But after watching some of the more serious issues this drama tried to explore, I couldn’t help but wish that the writer is willing to tackle it more thoroughly. Like what you said, this drama actually has the potential to be an exceptional romcom. But then again, this has surpassed even my wildest hope, so I’m content with what I got.

Hey, at least we got Veronicaaaaa Paaahrk out of it. That more than makes up for it’s slightly lazy writing.
