It’s fascinating how Do-han visibly softened whenever he talked with Suji. It’s almost like he let himself to be vulnerable around her, to be as honest and real as he could be. And judging from Suji’s reaction, it doesn’t seem to escape her notice either.

He desperately needed someone he could trust and understand him and that person was her. I don’t know where this is in the story and don’t want to say too much, but it’s also because he wants to be trusted as well. Being vulnerable with a version allows them to sympathize and empathize with your point of view, getting them on your side as well. He’s still the calculating Do-han, after all, and that part of him is never too far away.

Yes, I guess he has been doing and expressing things according to what he wanted other person to do far too long for him to be able to show others his honest feelings and thoughts. He simply couldn’t stop himself from calculating and gauging others’ reaction and whether it would be advantageous for him. And that’s probably why I appreciated his effort to be truthful to Suji even more.

I admire your restraint Ally. KYK is so good at this complex role. So, so good.

I always thought one reason he was like that was because of his guilt. Like he felt he owed her his truest form because of the wrong he’d done to her.

(Which is why I didn’t want to say too much. 😉)
