Binge watching Personal Taste over the weekend, and I think *gasp* I’m starting to see the appeal of Lee Min Ho? Also my favorite Son Ye Jin character so far! I love their friendship ~

Like, he’s not a chaebol, he’s this workaholic who’s put love on the backburner, and seems like a cold neat freak (oh, writing this makes me realize why I relate to him).

She’s honest and just so eager to be loved, and I think I rooted for her from the beginning, when Chang Ryul called her a puppy ~ one of my worst memories is being called a puppy by the person I called my best friend, as the reason she didn’t want to hang out with me anymore. … I also didn’t make that connection until writing this.

Darn it show, I relate to both leads so much. I’m only on episode 7, so please please please keep it up to the end!

Also, if anyone wondered, for this reason I do get irrationally angry at being called a puppy. I’m a cat darn it. A CAT. Or a beverage. Whichever you prefer.

I agree. The reason I have always had a soft spot for LMH long before Faith, is Personal Taste. The whole show is just so down to earth and earnest.

Unrelated but I also have a feeling he got plastic surgery after this show. I know that people change as they grow old but he did have some significant change that just doesn’t come with only ageing, after Personal Taste and in my opinion he last looked best here.

He might have. I don’t know. My soft spot for him doesn’t have anything to do with his looks.

My first Kdrama and my favourite “romantic scene” ever with Lee Min Ho running to buy pads for Son Ye Jin. He was a hero at this moment and that’s it.

The OTP kept me engaged in their relationship until the angst kicked towards the finale épisodes. Son Ye Jin captured my heart so easily even if her character’s drinking habits made me worry. I knew nothing about the drinking culture in Korea back then.

All the lead actors left a strong impression on me except LMH. I was even surprised to find out he was really popular haha It would be great to see him back to a more average character (well, just anything but a chaebol) because he doesn’t challenge enough as anactor imo.

I swooned at him making tea for her (I was struggling with my own cramps during that episode so it made me especially love him 😅)

Son Ye Jin is so sweet! The only other drama of hers I’ve seen is Something in the Rain, where she was mainly the cynical object of the male lead’s affections. I think a great deal of LMH’s appeal here is his chemistry with her ~ they play off each other better than any other otp I’ve seen in a while (maybe because the focus is friendship at first?)

I liked that scene too! Actually, him taking care of her when she had cramps. That would make anyone swoon 😀

I liked their relationship too! Like you said, they started as friends/roomates so they had time to get close as people before becoming lovers.

If you want to see more of Son Ye Jin, you should watch her movies. Classic (with Jo Seung Woo and Jo In Sung) is my favourite of her. You will fall for both her and JSW, maybe not JIS since it was in his early days.

You have never seen it till now? I’ll be honest this could possibly be one of my least favourite LMH dramas?
