It’s not like I don’t have enough current dramas to watch, but I’ve been rewatching Another Oh Hae Young. And watching it a second time, I feel like it’s a better drama than I remembered. I understand the angst more and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Oh Hae Young as a person and her relationship with mom & dad is just precious. They are prolly one of my favorite k-drama parents ever. I still think 20 eps is too long and can’t stand the “I see the future part” but that’s the beauty of re-watch, I can skip anything I don’t like!
Now in anticipation of October’s #MeetCuteWednesday , I’ve been inspired by @azzo to rewatch the ultimate cuteness fairy Kim Bok Joo! Though I still need to finish WWW soon.. Did I mention I watch too much dramas??
One sees quite big plotholes on rewatch of this show. Two I remember are that later in the show they say that he started to see the future after he saw OHY for the first time, and that he only sees future events that are related to her. Both of these are proved wrong when one rewatches the first episodes.
But you are correct about the angst. I have rewatched it many times and the angst is truly delicious.
i skipped any parts on seeing the future and its theories. honestly this drama would have been amazing even without it. the FL who wears her feelings on her sleeves, who got up no matter how many times she stumbled and embarrassed herself, the ML who just can’t open his mouth to communicate & has his heart sealed behind a wall. the mom who protects her child like the fierce mama bear she is, the solid-as-rock dad who doesn’t say much but is ever supportive. both sets of friends/siblings. and the pretty OHY, who’s really just insecure and lacking love, realising self-love is the most important thing she needs. Mann i guess this will be my new go-to drama for angsty times..
I never watched Another Oh Hae-young even though there was a lot of praise for it, I have it on my to-watch list but I never pick it up, it’s one of those shows that I’ve heard so much about that now I don’t feel the need to watch!
WLFKBJ is the cutest show ever, I’ve watched it so many times but I still grin like a fool at every rewatch! So do it and share some screencape please 😍
