If you thought Iris’s kiss scene was hot… (Spoiler alert)

…then get ready for more romantic developments between two of the drama’s sexy spies. The production has released a new still from this week’s upcoming Episode 3, no doubt to tantalize viewers into tuning in and hoping to break 30% in the ratings in its second week.

The plot sets the Hyun-joon (Lee Byung-heon) and Seung-hee’s (Kim Tae-hee) first night together in Japan. The couple enjoy a vacation at the hot springs and ski slopes, having gone on the trip secretly to avoid spreading the word to others. Feeling awkward as they filmed their bed scene, the two actors were reportedly seized with a laughing fit, leading them to make NGs.

The episode airs Wednesday.

Never mind who is handsome or who is not. Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder. What I am surprised about though, is how people can get so excited about a kiss? There's been endless discussions, in-depth analysis, and spontaneous combustion over a simple kiss scene! *sigh* I will never understand women...

I will gladly stick with OPW any day of the week, it's just a shame that OPW is so rare these days it's borderline extinct.

"I already seen LBH nake in other movies making out with everyone …"

I just wonder if I've seen one of such movies, which title is Everybody has A Secret... ( He definitely was making out with a lot of women in that movie..)

@ langdon813 (#48)
I'm totally agree with you...!! Lee Min Ki is not a handsome guy but I love his charm and attitude in Oh Dal Ja's Spring.... Seeing his acting in this drama just makes me wanna see him more...!!!

LBH does not need to be handsome/pretty because he can ACT 'sexybeast' (or to many he IS sexybeast)
Flip the coin, fr a dude's pov, KTH (or SHK for that matter) do not need to hone her acting ever, because guys actually prefer to just see KTH, she's that undeniably pretty/beautiful/attractive...this time she's cos-playing as an agent. All the merrier.

That's exactly y there needs no explanation y the 2 hot ajusshis fell for her in a glance in the drama or how she can seduce that Jap baddie with her 'green' act. It's a simply fact.... they r men.

oh my, isn't that how babies are made?

Why does LBH look like he'd rather be singing in a karaoke bar? otoh, KTH looks.... like she is happy to be where she is.....

LOL! Karaoke bar - that's good. And this is completely off-topic but I've noticed that you don't capitalize your name anymore!

@Molly -

yeah, isn't that weird of me?

I just noticed that a lot of folks don't capitalize their names (i.e., javabeans on her website, thundie on her website, mily2 and ay_link on withs2, the ladies over at aja-aja.com). why, I have no idea.

not that I would have the temerity to compare myself to those individuals, but I guess my change is due to passive peer pressure? it's sort of like being a freshman in college, and everybody who's cool is holding a cup of beer and you just don't want to be the nerd who isn't holding beer....

Still caving into peer pressure? What'll you say to little Ji Hoon when he gets older - "Do as I say, not as I do." o_O ??? :P

What a great explanation! Although peer pressure's more for teens like me, I think. :) I wonder if the lowercase trend stems partly from graphic design nowadays; since lowercase seems to emit more casual, cute vibes. And then there's that ever-present idea about "saving time" as you type/text/write/etc.

@ belleza: "Mm hmm!!! It’s no coincidence that this is the same director as A Love to Kill and, well, World That They Live In (haha, must suck for Song Hye Kyo to see these ratings )"

Is it? ^^ I never noticed that. Well, i don't ever get excited about IRIS anyway at the first place, I read, watch anything about IRIS since last year with a blah emotion even though it has everything that I LOVED about in a drama/film. Police, detective, spy, psychology, angst elements all in one bowl.

Director of A Love To Kill? Ok I admit, I don't like the depressing plots in it has but it driven me to a nowhere emotions that hard to get out with. A definate roller coaster ride for me. So because of that, I will watch IRIS when it has all the complete subs and episodes.

I remember watching Rondo starring Cha Ji Woo and Takenouchi Yutaka. The acting is mediocre but its a different plot. I love those kind of plot even though the drama itself can be either bad, good, great. For that matter, I will make IRIS a next to watch drama. Something that I know I can enjoy.

btw: off topic: For the kiss, well I will never felt jealous since I got my hubby and I only want to have his baby. Hehe

"I remember watching Rondo starring Cha Ji Woo and Takenouchi Yutaka. The acting is mediocre but its a different plot."

If Rondo had not tried to mix in a K-drama style meloromance, I really think it could have been a masterpiece. Yes, it's a redux of Infernal Affairs, but in a way, it's better than IA because the thriller bits feels even more claustrophobic stretched out in a full-length series. Yutaka is probably not the go-to guy for this kind of role, but his mild-mannered nature enhances the sense that he's way in over his head.

I haven't decided which one I liked better: Rondo or Time of Dog and Wolf. Time of Dog and Wolf is well crafted and slick, but when Rondo was good, Rondo was almost terrifying.

Bloody Monday was made by the same people who made Rondo. Now, the original story was a boy's comic, and Bloody Monday can't transcend that significant limitation. But its core story of terrorism by chemical warfare, and mass hysteria still works.

"Director of A Love To Kill? Ok I admit, I don’t like the depressing plots in it has but it driven me to a nowhere emotions that hard to get out with."

I was extremely excited that Kim Kyu Tae signed up for this project, because I LOVED both his art and actor direction with A Love to Kill. Like if you go back and replay the scenes when Rain and Shin Mina spent their happy time together, visually it's both sumptuous and deeply intimate. Like this is what a "stolen moment" SHOULD feel like. He also stylized the gritty parts of that drama, sometimes giving it a Memento-like feel. So I knew he could handle the action scenes. Above all, he knows how to get mature performances from his actors, be it A Love to Kill or World That They Live In.

it's not sizzlin' between these two..
(seriously LBH is one sexybeast indeed..i'd rather see him throwing knives and kick ass..yeah he's got one sexy butt too..)..i still think he's made for Song HyeKyo...honestly..

bed-scene2:
KTH:..hmm..not bad..but i think Jung Woo Sung's much better..great..heard he's single now..*grins*..oh well..
LBH: what does she see in that HyunBin actually..*&%@!!.(swears..)*

Iris is doing pretty well and I'm looking forward to watch it but please don't compare the actors and brought up their past relationship or bash their current spouse. HK's first love is in high school and not LBH and HB is not the second man but hopefully will be the last man for her. Those imagination dialogue is childish and will only annoy more Iris fans.

with due respect why should ppl compare or review past history of dramas going round in circle quite obvious targeting at LBH old flame. this review is about IRIS, period!!! they have their own separate personal lives now, past is over.
love to kill is not the only passionate kissing to make comparison also, just because of Rain.
in all fairness, why not compare LOVERS which had more passionate kissings & love scenes between LeeSJ and KimEJ?

LBH speaks about 4 languages, french, english, korean and jap, i think. not sure though. remember i read it somewhere that's he's fluent in quite a few languages. it's really his intellect n charisma that totally gets to me. yummm... but frankly, i prefer you're beautiful for the sheer laugh-out-loud factor and aww..... moments. :) iris=intensity=too much effort

Well said, Nom_Kitteh!

I prefer You're Beautiful. Haha. The relationship between JGS & PSH in YB is much more natural, especially the future bed scene - the one where PSH hugs him.

I'm so going to love tomorrow's episode :D

I think the Iris romance is fast-paced out of necessity. LBH and KTH are supposed to be separated pretty early in the drama. In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if the romance stuff gets mostly phased out in a few episodes. Iris should be about boys playing with their guns. Hmm that came out wrong . . .

"love to kill is not the only passionate kissing to make comparison also, just because of Rain.
in all fairness, why not compare LOVERS which had more passionate kissings & love scenes between LeeSJ and KimEJ?"

I only make the comparison due to the last 3 shows on the director's resume: Love to Kill, World That They Live, Iris. I like him a lot.

He also worked on the drama Loveholic (though not as principal), but I haven't seen that one.

not just comparison about dramas but some ppl out of control to compare actor n actress. what's IRIS got to do with Song Hye Gyo and why Hyun Bin dragged in. she broken up with LBH years ago. some ppl also compare Song n KTH and make fun with LBH.
elsewhere some weird ppl can't get over the rumour between her & Rain, the world star, versus Hyun Bin, the hopeless leaning on to her famous name. some ppl shud stop offending, love betw 2 persons n Song not a materialistic, she's not after fame and wealth, just respect their privacy.

Can't see the chemistry, too much for stars powers, and the screen cannot keep still as if the camera man got tired or something, very annoying, Tae Hee acting has not improved and Byung Heon looks tired and overworked. Just my opinion, this role is best play by Lee Jung Jae. So far into 2 episode and Disappointing.

LBH looks like he's aging and looks too mature for KTH. Wheareas Tae Hee who suppose to play his team leader doesn't has the charisma or maturity (she still looks like cutiepie school girl) to play the role convincingly. It's not the acting, they are acting pretty well, but just lack of the X-factor. A women agent spy usually give people an impression of coolness (emotion control), sexy and mature. I would think KSY is probably looks convincing as SH.

I would prefer the relationship develop slowly when they overcome more obstacles but their relationship is a bit too easy and too fast. Do they think that with one love scene means that they love each other to death? The flow of the drama are not lapping in well though it really start off with a bang.

let me say this...i live in the western world and when i hear and see the limited bedroom scenes or love scenes for that matter, please, asians have the most populations than america...so, why are people so shy? why are you treating romance on tv a taboo thing...this is 2 thousand plus and the world changes no matter how much we want to make the world stop...please, the interesting part in a show such as iris must have romance in it to make it the topping of the cake...if we have only actions and killing, what that makes the show...a hell of a boring thing. people want excitment watching dramas of this high caliber so, we need to set the mood and keep kissing, huggings which are not enough in iris to keep us warm in this blistering winter and people who are so hot on the islands to keep them cool by just seeing a winter scene in iris and the two characters are hugging so tight and embrace the hell out of each other, can you imagine the imagination we people go th rough with one of those scenes if they are done just right to fill our inside with warmth and coolness...wow......please, be more open now and stop making us viewer seethe in our pants becos you are not giving us the entire scene to our satisfaction...i hate to have to break another coffee table becos you did not make the two lovers hug enough for me to cry my soul out for feeling their deep emotions..okay..producers, dont hold back next time, make us westerner feel your drama with our entire body and soul....love iris to death.....faye on the island...

this is for lbh and kth....you two are amazing actors i t hink you both did a hot number on iris....if wish you two were allowed to hug, kiss and embrace the scene longer than it has been becos, when you guys cry and holding each other, we all feel for the two of you but, when your scenes are cut short of our tears, that really made us mad (i mean, here we are a group of middle age women living on this hot island and religiously watch every episode of iris, we go beserk whenever we see the two of you together trying to comfort each other and the actions between the two of you are so limited, geeze, one lady hit my coffee table so hard it almost broke, then one lady jumped on my couch and put a small whole on the cushion...you see what i mean...i know your culture calls for limitiations of sex scenes but, my goodness, this is the year 2 th ousand and korean people are still old school about t his....my, where then can we get the whole thing in its entirety, the cutout scenes so we can enjoy this iris to the fullest of our ability....okay producers and high people of the korean entertainment....its a small suggestion but, we'll be so t hankful if you allow us this small favor...okay.......we love iris and all the characters even the secretary who shot the president...she's one conniving evil bit.h........love to lbh and kth...they are superlicious....and for that scandal about lbh...well, he's human...if he's like that according to the claims, then, i know he's old enough to know the good, the bad and the ugly..........treat women right and you will be the best man alive...becos if not, you are a rotten rat that rolls in filth all its life....love you all...faye on the island.
