Oh, but, Samurai high school is cute and it's sort of nice to watch a silly goofy and carefree young man slowly changing into a conscientious young man. Tokyo dogs is more about the relationships between Mizushima Hiro and Ogri Shun's characters and anything else. Their dialogs are witty and comical. I'm discovering that Mizushima Hiro slurs when talking fast and have to replay scenes many times over to decipher his speech, takes forever to translate...

Anyway, this thread is as addictive as YB(Is it?), better start my day...

I can't stand the tortore!!!! Watching dramas real time is agonizing - I hate wating for the next episode!!!

Iris keeps toying with me - teasing me with snippits of TOP, flogging me with KTH, then making me drool with scantily clad LBH...I can't take it!!! I'm cutting myself off now before this sickness gets worse.

I have enjoyed the YB recaps from JB and I don't know if this is true for everyone, but I find that I enjoy the recaps more than I actually the episodes. I found this to be true with a couple of the shows like 'My Sweet Seoul' - JB made the series sound so good that I started to watch it, but it wasn't as good as the recaps...

Where's mishane? I need a fanfic recommendaiton!

Just watched TGTBTW and when I saw JWS I thought oooooooooooooo! Yes he did steal the show! I do have to say though, that nooooooo one can beat Clint! Without too much fear from competition on this thread, I think I can say Clint is MINE!!!!! You got to let the old lady have one.

I was off sick Monday and Dramafeverfested "Fireworks". After watching several hrs of KJH,I drifted off into a flight of fantasy. It went something like this:
I've got to go away for the weekend think I'll call KJH and see if he'll house sit for me and feed my goldfish. He says fine, he'll take care of my beachhouse, sun, sand, surf what more could a boy want. I'm thinking, if he's gonna be playing all weekend he's gonna forget to feed the fish, so I'd better invite JB as well to make sure the fish get fed! The rest of this fantasy is over to you JB!

It's the dialogue... and the way the dialogue and the humour come so naturally out of the characters. I have been known, when a little bit tipsy, to start calling out "C K Dexter Haven! C K Dexter HAAAAAVEN!!!".

Yes, I fell in love with a young JGS in Hwangjin-i, he was that cute young boy she fell in love with... Oh, he was in Lovers in Prague as well, like a toddler, lol. Then in HGD, awww, my favorite scene is SY and him in front of a gate after spending some time together in a market and before leaving, he's said something really clever which confused her even further and Oh, his smile was priceless, so lovely, adorable and full of mischief... Like everybody, else, I luuuuved HGD except the ending... With that optimistic openning, I, for sure, had something else in my mind...

How good can it get? What we wait for now is an epic kiss, NOT like kissing David, Julian or Thomas prz, our innocent little nunling. Actualy I wouldn't mind this drama ending with ANJell members in an OT4 because JEREMY and SHIN WOO and OMG, two but TWO broken hearted amazing Other Guys instead of one, how cruel.

@lovenyc52 and gallivanter- I love the rain too but when it's pouring and one must walk in it (you see...I'm a university student *winks*), then it's just a downer. But I do love to watch movies or read while drinking hot cocoa/tea during such weather. Alas...there were no thunderstorms here! I do love a thunderstorm. Southern Germany had some really good ones while I was in Munich last year. The music's missing when it's raining and there's no thunder to be found!

I've been reading this site since the first open thread. I love reading open thread because I get so much extra knowledge from it (best shampoo brands, great music to listen, books to read, old drama to watch..etc..etc)

I am not trying to offend anyone, but seems like nowadays JB readers are only interested on YB, even in the open thread. I like YB, but talking about "dying" because of waiting seems like a little bit too much. After all, Wednesday will eventually come, and we all will eventually get to see A.N.JELL again ^^

Anyway,

I haven't seen a new header from Luv lately, just want to say, I really..Really love Luv’s headers. But, others are great too!

I read somewhere on the open thread about Haruki Murakami. It made me visit the bookstore in my area and bought “Dance Dance Dance” (the only copy available at that time). Now, because of my budget, I have to choose between A Wild Sheep Chase (I heard this one related to Dance Dance Dance) and After Dark. Which one you guys think I should read first?

That's an interesting idea...American comedies!!! I also enjoyed the Hong sisters' remake of Overboard, which I had remembered seeing a long, long time ago. They definitely were successful in adapting it to appeal to Koreans. I loved the brilliant addition of the crazy girl played by Jung Soo Young.
Hey, they should do remakes of movies with Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire, or Judy Garland. Especially since Koreans love singing and dance! Or maybe more recent works like A Chorus Line. Or they could incorporate their topnotch B-boying and dance choreography skills for a martial arts film. So many possibilities...

I think the main concern at the end of episode 10 was to get GMN out of that place...so whoever was the best positioned to do so, in this case SW since he can see...took on the responsibility...it would be too much "scandal" if TK was to do it as he is supposed to be in a relationship with YH...so I can understand the ending, even though I don't like it! So yes, if by miracle your scenario could happen....Yoopie!

Ok since someone complained about everything being about YB lately I'll make a few comments not about YB to show I do have a life outside YB.

1) My highlight of the week? Yankees winning the 27th world championship. Mariano and Hideki are my heros. NYC is having a tickertape (no longer tickertape but shredded paper) parade for them today in canyon of heroes
2) My kdrama wish list? A drama about vampires that is totally kickass in terms of style with great story, comedy and solid acting aka like buffy but in a 16 episode format with more dark goth style.
3) Recommended reading? "Geek Love" and "Emperor of Scent"
4) Best cooking tools? Le Crueset pots, Wustof knife, & bamboo cutting board
5) Best place to snowboard? Whistler, Canada (west coast) Sugarbush VT (east coast)
6) Best jeans for an Asian with no butt? True Religion or Hudson jeans
7) Best samgyupsal place in my parts? In queeens "Hahm ji Bach"
8. My current listening? Lady Gaga

Although Rainie/Show said the latter part of the drama is very emotional and they'd start crying by themselves... hate the beast but I love the way Rainie says 'Facebook'.

Okay, so Kim So Eun and Jang Geun Seuk just did a commercial together. I love when my fandoms collide! However, most people are divided because most comments run along the vein of : "oh, but I like her with Kim Bum" and Geun Seuk should be with Shin Hye!"

My dream K-idol drama following You're Beautiful:

Plot: A remake of What Happened in Bali with Kim Bum as Kang In-wook (So Ji-sub's role, but Bummie would play it less eye intensity and more jaw clenching), Kim So Eun as Lee Soo-jung (famously waffling gold digger played by Ha Ji-won, but her's would be an innocent sexuality), Jang Geun-seok as who else, but a new generation Jung Jae-min (which launched Jo In-sung into fist crying respectabilty), and Park Shin-hye as Choi Young-joo (played by Park Ye-jin, but I would make this role less bitchy and more arrogantly vulnerable, like a Princess caught in a gilded cage).

I'd call it - What The Heck is Going on in Jeju?

It would be epic guys! I'll leave it to This belleza to structure a credible plot, I merely provide the casting and the outline. Yesterday I saw the clip of 2PM & the YB cast during a photoshoot. I died of cuteness & sexiness overdos. I think it'll be so cool to have a 2PM cameo on YB to promote their new songs & upcoming album! Ah, that clip made my day..

I actually tried it at my brother-in-law's house because he is the only person I know who owns one (maybe because he is a bachelor) and I was always curious if it made the ramen eating experience more pleasurable. It did nothing for me. Also the metal is pretty cheap so I was worried the whole time if it was leeching out something into the ramen. You know what is the best thing to eat ramen with and 10X better than eating it off the lid? Good fermented kimchil especially the young radish one.

@ 73 bunnifer - Devil Beside You (not her!) was my proper entry into dramas, holding that special place as my First. Rainie rocks and is not given enough credit. I'm on the d/l re my excitement about Down With Love since we've been hearing about it for foreverrr. I have been enjoying the stories about cute infectious bunny Ella melting Jerry's grumpy I-R-Daomingsi exterior. As for Show, didn't watch the bball drama despite 3 irresistable leads but Show himself is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G (lots of subbed clips of him on YT). Saw him in Corner With Love with Barbie, first half sucked, was going to quit but stuck around to listen to pretttty Dean Fujioka and Barbie's English conversations and suddenly the second half was awesome. Heh.

But my first reaction to see her is : She is not pretty at all. She looks old and bla bla bla..
Then I realized that I'm perfectly just like the fan girls of Lee Young Jae in Full House when they met Han Ji Eun in spa. "She is not that pretty and too short and bla bla bla.."

Okay, this is WAY off topic even for the OT but I thought this was cool enough to share with you guys. One of my other passions besides the all-consuming love/obsession I now have with K-dramas is interior design. I think I have at one time or another subscribed to just about every decorating magazine in the world! Two of my absolute faves, Blueprint and Domino, are no longer published, but there's a really cool online magazine that came out recently and I LOVE it. Every page is gorgeous and all you have to do is roll your mouse over a pic to get a direct link to the featured items.

Ooh, I'd love seeing a Korean Fred Astaire. Lol, there probably is someone with that nickname, I just don't know it. I wonder if there's much crossover between theater actors and drama actors, like there has been in the US recently. Anyone know? Or, for that matter, how is Korea's theater? I feel like all I hear about Korean musicals are adaptations from American or European shows.

May be it's my computer, it's taking a long time to turn pages... Oh, I'm downloading HD version of YB to my hard drive, it might be that. Otherwise, it's pretty and fresh. sort of like? Metropolitan home? is it? It's always fun to fantasize about decorating or remodeling... For example, for me, installing sliding glass doors off to my back yard, and meantime, I'm also thinking about moving back to LA area as well(Go figure). Most of my friends are still there and I'm at least 2 hours away...
