Kang Ji-hwan cast in Page One

Woohoo!!! Kang Ji-hwan is coming back to television!
He has been cast in the upcoming SBS drama Page One, which is being directed by Full House and The World They Live In‘s PD Pyo Min-soo, and has already cast Park Shi-yeon as its female lead. He plays a well-mannered novelist, who wrote a series of bestsellers at a young age and shot to early stardom. Park plays the head of a publishing company, with whom he has an interesting and odd relationship. A third character, yet-uncast, is a secretary with whom Kang’s character begins a bickering romance. Writing the drama is Song Jae-jung of Unstoppable High Kick.
Kang has been mired in contract disputes with his former management company in recent months, and therefore there was a lot of worry over whether he would be prevented from acting for an extended period of time. The issue is not yet resolved, so there’s some speculation over whether it will affect this role, but hopefully it won’t. You may recall that Lee Jun-ki also faced a similar threat of being kept from acting by his ex-management company, but they worked things out.
Page One will take over the Oh My Lady timeslot on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means it’ll air in the earlier (9pm) hour, continuing SBS’s decision to expand its prime-time programming on those two nights.
(Also: I’ve pretty much given up on the whole MINE-ing of various actors, just ’cause I suppose we should all share in our unhealthy obsessions rather than insist upon monopolizing our claims. But I’m really gonna have to stick to this one, ’cause y’all know Kang Ji-hwan really IS mine, right??)

I guess the casting process of KJH as the main lead of Page One won't be that easy. I read a news that the Korea Management Association reacted strongly to the casting of Kang Ji Hwan, who is in the midst of a dispute with his former agency, in a new drama “Page One”.
"Upon learning that the casting of Kang Ji Hwan was announced to the media, the association sent an urgent message to its members. The Association stated it requested those members who already signed a contract or are in the discussion stage in connection with “Page One” to contact the Association, and it would request that their actors’ contracts with “Page One” be put on hold.
The Management Association is also reported to be holding a board of directors meeting shortly and intends to take strong measures such as requesting the TV stations to refrain from broadcasting the drama."

KANG JI HWAN!!!! I really love him since I had been watching him in that drama "Capital Scandal" -- but it's really funny! Haha! =)
Oooh.....I tried to search that movie "Rough Cut" because of my BEST favorite actor So Ji Sub and Kang Ji Hwan -- I didn't watch this! ((mutters)) Oh well! (grins) I can't wait to see this incoming drama "Page One" -- whoo whoo!

Lmao!! @Javabeans !!! You are so wonderful! I couldn't stop myself from busting out laughing when I read your line "(...’cause y’all know Kang Ji-hwan really IS mine, right??)" Sorry, girlfriend, you're going to have to share this one!!! I can't wait to see another drama w/ him.
I checked WithS2 to see if they have Coffee House listed as an upcoming subbing project and with sadness in my heart I did not find it there. I truly hope they take Coffee House/Page One as a project because it would be a terrible dissappointment to Kang Ji-hwan's non-korean speaking fans to miss on this one.

God!!! i really love Kang Ji Hwan especially in Seoul Scandal and Hong Gil Dong. Wow, he will be paired up with PSY, one of my fav. actress. I'm watching this drama now. I found they really have chemistry. I fall for both of them. Love EUNSOO forever!!!
