I love the change of opinion going on in this post and I have to admit I've kind of had one too! I think they do look adorable together and if the cute translates into the actual show, it might just work!

For those who watch Japanese dramas such as Nobuta wo Produce and Proposal Daisakusen, doesn't KHJ look just a little like Yamapi??? I had to do a quick doubletake when I saw the stills.

Jung so-min definitely looks the part in the stills. I might just watch this for her and not KHJ.

Wohh~ What has KHJ been doing? He really looks exhausted; his eyes use to have more life in them than what are shown here. Is he stressed taking this lead role? We are not suppose to see nor feel Naoki stressed at any point 'cos the boy genius is expected to do his best at everything he sets his mind on. There better be some good photoshop on those scenes or else KHJ must take better care of himself to fit the role. There are high expectations and I can only hope he perseveres through pushing his competitive spirit forward and nailing this role by the book. Get plenty of rest when possible KHJ.

JSM looks good in those scenes. I can feel her character's charisma ooze out of those photos. Good work so far.

add me to the list of ppl who weren't enthusiastic until seeing these pics. they do look suited to the roles. I just hope they cut some of the cliches the original story was riddled with an dI hope the main girl isn't as annoying/pathetic as Ariel lin's was.

For those who dislike Hyun Joong, please watch We Got Married (starting ep 9) because you can see the real him there. He's quite adorable. For Hyun Joong fans who haven't seen We Got Married, you must see it.

I have a feeling that this will be a good drama. Both leads appear to fit well together.

I'm terrified yet compelled to watch it at the same time.....Lord Help us as we embark on this madness together.

Please let me be wrong, let KJH surprise us all with acting that has come on leaps and bound since his two expressions performance in BOFs (eye bulging = angry or looking sad whilst eating = lonely).

After seeing these stills I'm actually kinda looking forward to the drama, but I still would of prefered Park Bo Young and Kim Hyung Jun looks perfect for the role well all he has to do is act the same as BOF lol

i really don't know why everyone want to find defects in KHJ.i really love him what 's with so much complaints?as if there is'nt any actor worse than him.also the most important thing is that the first reason for watching dramas is enjoying. relieveing daily stress and forgeting about problems.we can express our ideas and to love or not to love a drama.but nothing is that serious.just take it easy.we are not film critics and even if we are,everything has its limit.

The issue theres plenty of actors with talent get overlooked and they can cast a guy with terrible acting and no actual interest in acting. Some people don't care but I can't stand bad acting, won't watch this. He looks too old anyway.

I may be the only one, I tried to watch the 'original' ISWAK and have yet to finish it.
I am also one who is not a fan of the lead actress, I didnt like her in Bad Guy either.

So for myself, I am coming into this with pretty much from the opposite side of everyone and thats ok.

I will be watching and I hope it goes better than well. Again from my perspective, the actors have been delivering or doing their best to and the rest of the production team have taken five! been missing in action, I hope this doesnt happen with Playful Kiss because KHJ will be the fall guy.

I have just finished re-watching BB, maybe for the 3rd time (can't keep track...) and I am learning to like KHJ's acting. It fits his character. Having watched the Japanese and Taiwanese versions, his protrayal of the character is actually quite good. His acting is wooden, as some have described it, but that's in keeping with the character who keeps his emotions subdued. His moments with Gum jan Di are sweeter that those with Gu Jun Pyo's.

Let's give him a chance, okay.

I really liked the Taiwanese ISWAK so will look forward to this. IMO, the Korean interpretations of the mangas are always well done so I'm hoping for something better.

I watched the Taiwan version and the old one of Itazura Na Kiss, and I love both of them just like I love MG, HYD and BBF. Just want to say again KHJ zai you ! Fighting, pray that he will act well !!

The stills looks pretty good. KHJ looks good and Jung So Min looks cute. I'm looking forward to this. I watched the Taiwanese version a little bit but couldn't finish it - I got soooo bored. Hope this version is better. I don't wish to judge based on the stills. I'll see the first few episodes before deciding.

In Taiwan's version, I actually liked the 2nd male lead Jiro Wang and wished he end up with the girl. I had to force myself to finish that show. Joe C. wasn't that handsome/perfect to get away with being so arrogant and expect the audience to like you. I have high hopes for this K version. I'll watch 3 eps before critiquing it. It's not fair I know, but Kim Hyun Joong doesn't have to do much to mesmerize... plus now, with diligence (which he has), he can do great in this given the chance & the right director. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this becomes huge hit..

I think the first stills are so far looking pretty good.

The girl looks cute and fits the role. KHJ looks tired (already?). Actually this drama depends so much on the girl parts since she's the one following him around.
KHJ character rarely smiles and always looks down on the girl. Hope both leads pull through. this drama might hit the roof since the Taiwanese version is very popular and KHJ (although weak acting) is also very from BOF.

i couldn't finish ISWAK. I stopped at ep 17 (i forced myself to get that far...), and watched only the first episode of the 2nd season. After that I lost total interest. why? because the taiwanese version didn't have good flow. the pacing was slow, alot of scenes could have been cut or shorten...the editing was not very good.
but know i feel i should at least finish it. idk.
i'll give Playful Kiss a chance and i hope that KHJ will do well with the help of a good director. anyways i'm more addicted to korean dramas....so i'm bias.

i'm really excited about this drama! i love the taiwanese version but the korean just has a style of their own that makes it more interesting... i was, at first, disappointed with the casting but after seeing the pictures above, they do look good together and it seems like they are really fitted for the role... and i love their uniforms! let's keep our fingers crossed for this drama...
