Everyday life has changed...definitely. Now, once I get hooked on a drama, there's no more sleeping at 2am after finishing loads of homework. Instead, it's the challenge of squeezing in two episodes extra from 2-4am, and paying for it in soporific history classes the next day.

There's also the impacts of individual dramas-- I remember almost falling off of my bike when I tried to transport my injured brother just like Hwan did for Eunsung in Brilliant Legacy, and sticking my hand out of the window on freezing days just as Eunsung did on the way to the sea.

I am Korean, but people are always surprised when I visit and show alarming knowledge of all of the celebrities, if nothing else. "Look at this soju ad here, it's a girl very many guys here like--" "Han Hyojoo, yup." "Have you heard of Gong Yoo?" "YES. Coffee Prince." "Whoa." It's given me an area of expertise, and stolen many hours of my sleep, and it's ultimately something I've found continual passion in.

haha. I admired you for your passion and commitment to korean dramas. What i've tried is giving my sister a piggyback while half running-half walking up the hill. it seems a silly thing to do now but we were both very hyper, and what happens next was not pleasant. i ended up tripping over the pavement and got a few bruises and scars on my legs, while my sister got a few cuts on her hands. i felt really bad because i suggested it but she cheered up after some icecream,so all is well at the end of the day.

ohh and i think my knowledge on korean celebrities is far superior to that of the ones in my country ;D

- all of the above (you'd think I'm joking, but really...)

- Reading Kdrama and Kpop blogs daily! Or more like 3 -4 times a day. Just like having your daily meal. Heck, sometime I forget to have lunch because I'm glued to the scene. (Well, occasionally banging it when the episodes ended abruptly. Hey, I apologize after!)

- Of course the most significant change is writing. Kdrama kicked up my writing urge. I wrote before, but BOF Soeulmate couple (Yi Jeong/ Ga Eul) set my muse on a wild rampage to a point where I had to write them or I'd caused an accident on the street. Yes, yes, I daydream while driving, I mean, that's the best time to think, right?

- Lastly, I'd name my kid Yi Jeong if hubby just let me. (I'm not korean) hehehe

BTW, you gals crack me up all the time. Thanks for everything. We love you!!

Korean Dramas have changed me SO MUCH.
I adore Kimchi and MUST eat it with my bulgogi. I have also convinced my sister to learn how to make it for me (I am a lazy person by nature). I also have begun using korean phrases in my day-to-day language and my friends who are bi-lingual like me (English and Urdu) get thoroughly confused when they dont recognise a word from either language and point it out.
Also I look for a Geol Oh or a Yeorim in every guy I am interested in. I am going to die alone, aren't I? Sigh.

Any Geol Ohs living in England? Please contact me?

By doing the above it seems I have just hit rock-bottom!

K-dramas I guess have really changed my path in life. Before I was into K-dramas I loved Anime and Japanese music, I even went to an Anime convention one year. Now I'm much more into Korean Dramas but will still watch some Japanese stuff here and there. Korean Dramas really made me fall even more in love with the Asian culture in general. I am currently taking Korean Language classes at my college and plan to study abroad in Seoul for a year. I'm a Business Major and am also planning to get an East Asian Studies Certificate and after I graduate I want to work closely with companies in Asia, especially those in South Korea. So I guess you could say my deep interest in South Korea had helped me decide what I want to do as a career!

Watching korean dramas have changed my perspectives so much. First of all, I was clueless about korean culture before I watched korean dramas. Now i know SO MUCH, after watching hours of drama. I started loving bibimbap, and it got me to love kpop. Kdrama actually influenced me into kpop, and now im a huge kpop fan as well. I now want to travel to korea. One major thing it has changed about me is that, it has turned me into a more respectful person (not saying i wasnt before). But koreans are so respectful towards elderly people and everyone, and they have influenced me to be more respectful as I am from a western country. Kdramas changed me from the core, and not a lot of things are able to do that.

Hmm. Well, I began to listen to kpop because of kdrama. I frequently eat gulbolgi at the Korean restaurant in town. I buy kdrama collectibles (mostly pigrabbit stuff but also the gumiho drumstick). I have added a few Korean/Hangul words to the smattering of other languages I speak. I've caught myself bowing slightly whenever passing people when I used to just tilt my head/hat. I'm adding Hanbok to the saree, kimono, hanfu and suits in my closet. I also style my hair in a few ways based off of kdramas (I have a lot of it even though I've cut it recently :)

1. It's made me delusional and daydream about marrying a chaebol heir.

1.5. A six-foot tall, ripped chaebol heir at that.

2. I've developed a routine of downloading raws, waiting for subs/helping community subs, etc. in a cycle as each episode from a series comes out.

3. Learned more Chinese due to the subs being translated from Chinese.

I had always been fascinated by many things they do in k-dramas. You know how they make this ''krhrhrhr'' sound with mouth open after they drink a glass of soju. I do that now. With every strong alcoholic beverage I drink. :D
My friends think it's weird, I think it's brilliant. :P

And, of course, never ending congrats on your 5 years of reviewing. Even though I have no idea for how long I've been around, but it's been a long while. ^^

I've started taking in Korean when I go on drama-watching binges, but I don't know half of what I'm thinking...if that makes any sense. Also been eating more Korean food because it makes me really hungry when I watch the characters eat on tv.

Well, I'm Puerto Rican so my first language is Spanish. I'd say the main difference around our house has been my random outbursts of "aiishh", "aigoo" and "ahh shinsha!".

p.s. Sometimes Puerto Rico's considered US territory, sometimes it's not. So I can't really specify.

Sadly my town only has one Korean restaurant so I've been making trips to LA for the actual barbecuing experience. But then I've gotten smart, my friend and I are learning to make Korean food more like KIMCHI!! haha. I wish I could travel to Korea but unfortunately my student income can't afford it. Watching dramas everyday has been a big impact on me, I love the ost in a drama so I listen to the dialogues and the songs mostly. And of course looking at the main leads fall in love or hate each other at first site. LOL. Wild Romance (WR) is so funny. Haha. I like that the couple dislike each other before they get to the loving part. Drama's like Wild Romance are fun to watch. Thanks for the awesome site. God Bless. (:

My addiction symptoms...let me count the ways.
1. I've stopped watching American shows except for HGTV and the Food Channel.
2. I've learned how to cook Korean food including side dishes.
3. I'm a planning a trip to Korea.
4. I've tried to wrist grab the hubby without any success since he is such a big guy. I realize wrist grabbing needs the cooperation of the other person.
5. I've started saying "Omo".
6. I've spent many a sleepless nights marathoning k-dramas.
7. I've developed a taste for a six-pack, the non-alcoholic type.
8. Dramabeans, Dramafever and other sites where I can watch k-dramas are under my Favorites/Bookmarks tab.

I started learning Korean and eating kimchi! I also go eat korean bbq so often now, it can't be healthy.

Listening to kpop didn't exactly stem from kdramas, but grew along side it but I would say that my new obsession revolved around korean culture. haha.

I went to South Korea over the summer (best trip of my like), Korean food became my favorite food (because it's good , not because it's Korean ^_^), I started speaking casual Korean with my sister at mealtimes, school, ect., and I became quite desperate to be in an adorable relationship. Trust me, that last one changes your everyday life quite a bit :P And those are just the ones I can think of at the moment...

Because of K dramas, I took two semesters of Korean in college. It was difficult but rewarding when I understood stuff in dramas!!
I also started going to Korean restaurants, and I bought little jars of Kimchi every week! That ended up costing a lot, and I got my family into it, so we now buy a huge bucket full of Kimchi now!! My dad complains that I am turning "Korean" and can't live without Kimchi. lol.
It also gave me unrealistic ideas of romance/relationships, but I am slowly trying to move away from that. XD

hmmm....the better question is "what have I NOT done in the name of kdrama?"!!!!

here are some of what i consider my biggies, but may not be such big changes at all:

1) i started writing about kdramas, actors and actresses on a KPOP blog!
2) i say "aigoo" ALL THE FREAKING TIME
3) i eat ramyun only on the pot lid
4) i touch my fingers to my ears whenever i burn my fingers (i *try* cooking korean food all the time so singed fingers are often the result)
5) i verbally annoy all of my family and friends with useless facts and knowledge (and scene-by-scene episode recaps of whatever kdramas i am currently watching) of my favorite kdramas and kdrama actors and actresses
6) i found some of my favorite KPOP artists through kdrama OSTs (f.t. island, clazziquai, bye bye sea, davichi and more!!)

Ever since I started watching K-dramas, I've been starting to take Korean classes from Koreanclass101.com), addicted to kpop and Korean shows. Anything Korean would peak my interest. It's funny because I could in the grumpiest mood, but if someone starts talking about anything Korean, particularly k-dramas, my eyes will just light up and my mood turns all excited.

I'm even determined to do an exchange in South Korea sometime this year! Hopefully it'll fall through.

I've been watching a lot of saegeuks lately. I've really started to love the Jjokjin Meori hair style. I've been growing my hair out long. It used to be chin length and now it's just little above mid back level. I've been doing my version of the Jjokjin Meori style. My hair is still a bit short for the proper version, but I'm determined to do it! I think in about 6 more months, my hair should be long enough.

I think I might be opening Pandora's Box though. I'm 26yrs old, 27 in Korea, as my mom is constantly reminding me. Almost 30 and my mom is nagging at me of when I'm going to get married. I wonder what thoughts will be going through her mind if she sees me with Jjokjin Meori. LOL!

in the name of kpop, i started to eat spicy foods which i really don't like at first. I also buy their ramen even if its a bit expensive here in the philippines. I also influenced my bestfriend to like kpop which she didn't like at first, again. then we shares some stories about the Kdramas, Kpop. I always updated when it becomes to Kdramas. and I also influenced her to learn hangguk, so at school we are using korean language everyday. Even if our classmates misheard(for fun) or don't understand, they always says "saranghae" "annyeong haseyo".

In the past my Asian Drama addiction has brought me to make Music Videos for my favorite dramas since 2006. More recently though I made my first trip to Seoul, South Korea in September of 2011. I spent the first few days amazed at the cultural differences and toured the city. I made quite a few friends the longer I stayed, and two weeks went by just like that. My love for Korean Dramas has really made me realise how much I love Korea, the culture, language and everything that I would love to live there soon. Years later, i've realized that this is more than just a hobby, but a passion that has taken me to the other side of the Earth. :)

Oh Kdramas how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
Like most of the responses I occasionally use random expressions in Korean (Aigoo! Aish! Ah Choumal! Ya, Odiga?)
I sometimes call my mom Omma, and it confuses her to no end.
Planning on learning the Korean so I can use it on future trips to Korea.
Borderline obsessive love for kpop.
One of my favorite things to do during the week is put on a facepak mask and turn on a drama. Me time perfected!
I've even started picking up on kdrama fashion to the point where it's affecting my wardrobe. Sometimes I take mental notes of stuff I like during the episode. Example dramas: 49 Days, My Princess, Best Love, The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry, and Prosecutor Princess. After I watched The Princess's Man I really wanted to wear a hanbok, they're so pretty! Silly I know. Don't judge me too harshly!

'Lurkers' - lol! Sorry javabeans and girlfriday, it's just that your stuff is so good it blows my mind, thus rendering me unable to comment at times... hehehe. I will try to change my ways! To be honest, it's not so much the free stuff that's reeling me out of the woodwork - it's more like the chance to share stories with the crazily wonderful kdrama community that is dramabeans :)

Anywayy, the biggest change that has gone on in my life has actually been because of 1N2D, not so much kdramas. I don't know if this'll qualify, but seriously, that programme has changed life at home with my two younger sisters XD

We were Family Outing fans and therefore duly vowed to hate 1N2D forever for some stupid reason, so we never touched it UNTIL recaps started on dramabeans. Oh guys, you opened our eyes! Soon it became routine to download episodes and watch together.

We've actually tried some of the games on there (although we haven't gone as far as the fish sauce), and the one that has really stuck has been rock-paper-scissors, pretty much one quintessential 1N2D game.

Basically, THIS SOLVES EVERYTHING. Well not everything, but worthless, household sibling arguments have totally decreased by like a gazillion percent since no one can really dispute the results of the game XD

I know this may sound weird and stupid, and generally we do help each other out and I love my sisters, but in those times where no one really wants to vacuum or everyone really wants that last tiny piece of cake that isn't big enough to share, it works brilliantly :)
