1115k - its a rally

Someone bought Jeju Island's Organic aloe Jel - Korean company, Korean product - I checked it reviews and 1 review mentioned 2 chemicals. price is 20$
I tested it. soothed the skin but what about chemicals? This is why i don't like bodycare/skincare products.

This was left open and before 19 October the right time to achieve
What I won't do/make as Asian drama Director -

1. No drinking scene at all - We aren't selling Booze here(if alcohol sponsor - then change it).

2. No traffic violation aka rash driving scene - (Hero/ine pull off these stunts in tv dramas but we won't go for it, Especially Kdrama and Thai drama - no race or chase or desperation)

3. No to Idols - (View - Acting is an art, plastic faces aka the exhibitionists have no place here)(Business - Its all about ratings aka advertising money so Idols are invited)

4. No no-more scene or set/location near such places - (-ve energy not take)

5. No fast food scene (no to any brand and corp especially subway, We can find many organic food brands as sponsor everywhere)
6. No annoying noise pollution - either from so called actors or from music director.
7. no annoying camera angle as well as lighting
8. no copy-paste acting being approved
9. no annoying editing

There are few others but those are for writer and actor.

Day 4 introducing my new two kittens to my older cat is very stressful, with lots of hissing, growling, and a slap from my older cat. I watch every youtube tutorial video and nothing seems to work. Should I just accept the fact that they won't get along? :'(

Hang in there! In my experience, it can take a good amount of time, but eventually everyone seems to get used to each other - if nothing else if just pointedly ignoring each other from opposite sides of the sofa. We had a similar situation once, and then one day I walked in to find the younger one grooming his big bro and eventually they were a ball of cuddly fur sleeping on the same armchair!

Thank youu this makes me feel much better. The hardest part is because our new kitten is so brave that he ignores my older cat hissing. Thank you for telling me this! Actually, I once had two cats they were best friends growing up together, then I have to separate them for 3 months, when we introduce them again they keep fighting, it's very heartbreaking then after one month I gave up and gave the other cat to my friends. I hope this time it will be successful.

Required fields are marked *

The advice we give to adopters is to keep the new cat away from the resident pets in a separate room. Place food bowls on either side of the room's door. Let them get acquainted with one another's scent first. Let them see one another after a week. Separate them if things don't go well then try again later. There still might be hissing and smacking. As long as it's not an all-out fight, they should learn to tolerate one another.

well noted! Maybe I need to wait for a week, take it easy, and don't force them to be friends with each other. I totally agree with you as long as it's not an all-out fight it's actually great progress. For now, I let them eat together separated by the fence. Wish me luck!

When I was the most beautiful (finale) - all throughout this episode, I repeatedly exclaimed my disbelief at Oh Ye Ji's iron will. I am curious though, would anyone do what Ye Ji did? Personally, I would have kissed Hwan wayyyyyy back in Episode 8 ("I want to ruin my life" AHHHHHHHH *SQUEL*)

Required fields are marked *

I was so annoyed with her at the end of the drama that I could hardly enjoy the unusual and realistic ending. I just thought she was so selfish; it's OK to keep Hwan at arm's length, if that's the way you need to have it, but to tell him AT THE SAME TIME that you love him... why?? Why torture the poor guy by telling him that you reciprocate his feelings but are unwilling to follow through with your actions? If you aren't going to walk the talk, just shut up. What a way to mess him up for the rest of his life.

I am so annoyed right now but also okay. South Asian dads can be so annoying when you have to get something done. My dad nags us so much almost all the time that it gets on my nerves. I've established a schedule for myself and when he comes home for the weekends, he just disrupts it entirely. Sometimes I get so angry at my parents fir the amount of judgement they pass. Also since my brother ruined our PC, I will have to endure a lecture on that too, even though it was no fault of mine. The only good thing about life seems to be 18 Again. Taht show just hits you in the feels. I was bawling ka yeh end of episode 8. Tale of Gumiho was underwhelming this week but still enjoyable. Anyway I hate the fact that most south asian parents dont know how to respect their children. It can really make you bitter sometimes

Required fields are marked *

I can understand how you feel, given there are times that I set a schedule for myself and it gets constantly disrupted.

Something that helps me is when I think about priorities in my life. At the end of the day, why am I doing what I am doing and for what. When I ask those questions, the answer I get is “I want love and happiness”. And I get that with my disruptive, non-respecting family. Respect, politeness etc. are for the people outside of my inner circle. The place I can rant and be ranted at is my family. Some moments are bitter, but the joy of being with them is precious and totally worth it.

What I’m trying to get at I guess is, don’t be too quick to judge your parents. And don’t be hard on yourself either. If things aren’t working per your schedule, try talking with them and see if that helps?

Not many people really know how to be a parent before they become one. Some might have imagined and simulated (in their minds) about the kind of parents they will be. Once they do become parents, they tend to fall back to their parents' ways.

My dad's eldest sister helped a lot in raising her 6 younger siblings. With her only son, she seemed to have done it differently, perhaps to cooperate with her husband, fit her son's temperament, or something. Apparently, still a pretty rough ride for all of them lasting years.

Ugh, I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. I've definitely gone through it with my own parents, and as I get older I realize they definitely learned it from my grandparents, so I have (a little!) more sympathy.

Have you watched Reply 1988? There is a scene that really resonates, where high school and college students are talking about their parents, and the indomitable Bora says "you just have to yell." She does yell (A LOT) and her parents do respect her - and even tell the other parents that "she's scary, but she's a good girl" lol. She usually does what they want her to anyway, but on her own terms. I wish I could find a clip - maybe @sc325 can help?

Anyway, hang in there. They most likely just want what's best for you, but it's okay if you tell them what "best" actually looks like to you, even if it's different from their perspective. Just be prepared they might not listen the first 72 times, I say from experience :) 73rd time is amazing tho!

Ah I empathize! But I lost my dad in December and I miss him very much. Parents can totally be judgemental but parenting doesn't have a guidebook. Sometimes you make mistakes. Anyway, more importantly I TOTALLY remember the times when I would scream in frustration at my parents!

@skbaliga75 - I am so sorry for your loss. Both my parents have been gone for years and I too still miss them. You are lucky that you miss your dad as it means you loved him.

As to parenting - when I became a parent I learned quickly that I knew NOTHING and as a result I learned from my mom who taught me things. But I was also determined not to repeat some things that my parents did when I was a kid.
The bottom line is that for parents - at least with the first child - they are learning and experiencing everything the first time just as the child does. Parents never know everything - they just pretend. But hopefully good parents will try to do the best with what they know and try to love their children the best way they can.

I am one of 9 kids and to this day am so amazed how my mom managed. whew....

So it's snowing here already, and it's only October 16. We haven't had a hard freeze yet, so it probably won't stick, but this is still ridiculous - and I usually love snow! But I don't think I've ever seen it arrive so early in my whole life.

But a friend just send a short video where she turned the snow into glitter, so that makes me feel better.

I'll try to imagine I'm just in Dramaland, and the first snow means calling your crush and having a heartbreaking near miss with your fated love getting off the elevator a split second too early.

Time to find my fuzzy sweaters!

I was living in MN that year. In fact I had to drive from Stillwater to St Paul that night and I remember waking up the next morning to so much snow!!!!!
Moved back to Oregon 13 years ago and when my friends in MN ask if I'll ever move back I answer with "come to the PNW and you will understand why I won't move back."
But that Blizzard was insane!!!!!!!!!

In all fairness, you get as much precipitation out there (if you're west of the mountains), yours is just wetter.

I could not handle all the gray days in a row though. I'd rather have a 3-day blizzard roll through and then a bunch of sunny, cold days to go out and play in the snow. Unfortunately with climate change it's getting warmer and wetter - and grayer - here now too.

...But we will forever have the legacy of making sure your Halloween costume fits over a snowsuit!

Chicago Metro area here. It's a cooler than normal, schizophrenic day - bright sunshine one minute, light shower the next, repeat. I was unloading groceries from the car a couple hours ago when large droplets fell from the sky. The droplets hitting stuff sound was louder than normal. Then I noticed white specks on the driveway. Couldn't tell whether those were supposed to be hail melting as it neared the warmer surface or wet snowflakes. They melted quickly, not harming my potted plants.

You guys up there might get colder than normal winter courtesy of La Ninã this year. Best of luck.

I'm only 4 episodes in and admit the story could fall apart next episode, but that applies to the fancy big name fare too. I've given up already on 'Tale of the nine-tailed' the sexy (not a) vampire versus the serial killer (not a) vampire story.

The daytime k-dramas that run 100+ episode pretty much really suck, but on the other hand some scenes are just funny, or stupid-funny. I watch My Wonderful Life occasionally (with a lot of fast forwarding), and the gaping plot holes fascinate me, not to mention just how stupid some roles can be. Latest episode: clueless mother tells (switched at birth) daughter to dump her kids and marry some guy to take care of HIS kids.

Just one of the weird and useless things I do waiting for Lie After Lie to get subbed...

The entertainment world continues to be transformed by the Covid and local lock downs. Many theater chains are headed toward bankruptcy.

The new CEO at Disney has decided to change how it will do business. It will no longer specify or target distribution for its new projects. In the past, a franchise movie would have a big budget for a worldwide theater audience. Now, the company will make films, shows and sports events to be later determined how they will shown to viewers.

It is a major shift in philosophy. Revenue is different for theater releases, cable subscription, pay--per view, or free TV (ad supported). Disney had moved several theater animation releases to Disney + and PPV. In the long run, this shift will shrink production budgets and limit creativity.

The same is true for live concerts. Venues have been closed for most of the year. But now, top acts are going the pay-per-view streaming route. BTS had its recent concert seen by one million viewers in 191 countries.

Happy weekend Beanies and keep Beaning On!

My K-drama friend has fallen ill and will not be able to visit me this weekend, because she has to wait for the results of her covid test first. I am trying to stay positive for her sake and I am looking for something else to occupy myself with this weekend, but I am afraid I will start overthinking things again instead.😬

The state department invited the 200 best candidates that passed their interview, me included, to pick teams and locations where they wanted to be stationed. I am this close to employment, and whether it will happen or not depends entirely on the choices the many candidates higher on the list made. Now I am anxious about both not getting the job, and finally getting the job and everything that entails at the same time!😯

The worst part of it all is the wait for the end of the uncertainty. I usually take a holiday in the infamous pit of K-dramas and other fandoms whenever that happens, but I took that too far last year and did not get out of my life slump for a while. In order to be ready for possible employment and to avoid repeating that mistake, I have been postponing K-dramas and fandoms ever since the job exams ended late September. However, I am not sure if and for how long this strategy will work. Things have been rough since August, so regular escapes to recharge are necessary if I must stay strong for a while longer.😩

A big thank you to all Beanies for knowing when to keep things light, when to offer comfort, and when it is necessary to remind me that it is not my fault, but 2020. Two and a half months left to go!😉❤️

Tale of the Nine Tailed - finished ep 3. I'm probably going to have to switch to weekend daytime viewing for this, since the horror factor is becoming a bit much for me.. haha.. otherwise, I'm totally enjoying it.

Hello there all you wonderful beanies and the DB staff who makes this connection possible for all of us.
What a week - DYLB and ROY left me feeling so sad, but thank goodness I had Zombie Detective to balance it out.
DoSoLa (can't write the whole title) is just the right amount of fluff for right now - and I am even liking Go Ara for once.
9-tailed Fox is fun - just to see all the side-eyes and smirks our fox gives to his lady-love. More than Friends - is still good and I look forward to our leads growing up emotionally.

But the good news is that I GOT the job! REALLY and truly this time!!!
It had to go through a different consulting company - and so I asked for more $$ per hour and got it!!! So if all goes well I'll be gainfully employed on the 26th! Whew - the stress relief is huge and so now I can work in the garden and watch dramas without feeling guilty that I should be looking for work.

And I got my ballot in the mail yesterday and will drive it to the ballot box next week.

To everyone who is struggling to get through the days I've found one thing that helps me - and that is to find something that brings me joy every day. Even if it is watching the birds splash in the bird bath - I'll take that.
So take care and keep beaning on - we've got so many new dramas to watch!!!
Stay safe, where a mask and VOTE if you are in the US!

Yay for the job, that’s great news!

Definitely agree on finding joy in something every day, even if it’s small....we always say our favourite part of the day at the dinner table and even if i suspect my children are not always genuine (“eating this yummy dinner, mum!” *refuses to eat more than two bites*) it’s always nice to stop and think about it.

Hi Beanies! Just wanted to check in, tell you that I’ve been faithfully watching Record of Youth (PBG is 💜), DYLB? (why show?), and Nine-tailed (the horror, but Kim Bum is a revelation), and trying to keep my head above the covid water. Stay healthy, everyone!

I'm with you on Kim Bum - he is amazing in this show. I don't remember seeing him anywhere else, but I'm looking forward to seeing if he changes at all.
Stay safe @ally-le!

Hi beans. I hope everyone had a good week and will proceed to have an amazing weekend 😊.

As a reminder: there's only 10 days left to 26 October 2020! 10 days left to Kairos premiere!!!! 🥳

I'm so excited. I've been keeping an eye on this drama since the casting talks back in March 2020. Fast forward 8 months later...and I'm still or even more excited! I've waited for nearly a year for this hahaha 🤣.

Last month I made a forum thread for Kairos because my spazzing knows no bounds 🤭 and I just like talking dramas, especially dramas that umm....have an actor I like 😉. I try to remain unbiased, I think I did a pretty good job and didn't flood the drama thread with only one character updates ㅋㅋㅋ.

All in all, I look forward to see good dramatic acting from the cast. Most importantly excited to see Kim Seo Jin wearing glasses and suits, his free forehead and him being a 딸바보 aka ttal-babo 😆. As for plot, I don't really have expectations, as long as it makes narrative sense and is exciting to watch, I'll be fine 🤓. Or I'll just stare at the pretty faces on my screen heh.

I already dropped 2 Monday-Tuesday dramas so I definitely have time for Kairos 😂

‘Fake/Unreal’ Men aka Toy Soldiers has been pulled from YT after netizens criticised episode 4 of season 2 as being unreasonably harsh, amongst others. Instructors from season 1 & 2 have also been involved in various controversies. I had been gushing about this show just last week and everything has been turned on its head. It’s been more dramatic than any other kdrama on air now with revelation after revelation.

Been watching Record of Youth. 4 episodes to go....but where is this show going???
Also started Rookie Historian and I kinda like it! Watching Gumiho on Viki but since I have the free version I'm waiting for episode 3 to become available.
And started a Chinese language show Dating the Kitchen.

I voted today because NZ is also having an election (pretty sure we all know who will win here though!), tonight I’m going to get together with some friends and watch the results come in, so that should be interesting.

And I’ve started my Christmas knitting, which I tell myself every year I will start earlier and yet here we are in spring....I have a whole lot of wool spun from one of my parents sheep that I’m making into a blanket for them and it is SO SLOW, but fortunately mindless enough that I can watch dramas at the same time, thus providing me with an excellent excuse to watch ALL the dramas 😎

And as expected, absolute landslide for the incumbent party - they’ve done a great job with managing Covid, here’s hoping they can do a great job with the next few years!

Oh my gosh, I got chills thinking about you knitting with wool that’s from your parent’s sheep, that sounds so lovely. I live in the city and last week some guys who were high almost ran into a sheep on a really big street. They made a video that went viral ... like, man, I think that’s a SHEEP?, etc. Luckily they called the cops and the sheep was rescued, shorn of pounds of matted wool and is now living in the country at a rescue ranch 😁 I hope the two high guys have recovered.

I wonder how it got there? You would doubt yourself even if you weren’t high 😃 I also live in the city but my parents are still out in the country so it’s nice to be able to visit them - the wool is from this one sheep they raised from a lamb who is super friendly, and spun by mum’s friend, so I think it’s pretty special!

They believe the sheep escaped or fell off (ouch) a truck that was moving from farm to ... well, you know ☹️ She is a very lucky escapee.

Started watching Start-Up. And I'm totally in love with it. Nam Joo Hyuk's character is tugging at my heart. It lowkey pisses me off that I have to wait a week for the next two episodes :(

Has anyone on here way he deep 5 of do some sol sol la la sol? I was slack jawed at the end Of the ep! Idk if it would be creepy or not if he was a high school student and she was in her mid 20s. I love their chemistry and want it to stay cute and fluffy!

I came here just for this comment! I was soooo slack jawed watching the end of the episode!!! Still can’t get over it! Hopefully next episode sheds some light into this because it was super cute when I thought they were the same age and he was acting cute and feeding her and waiting for her etc. But if he’s seriously a high school kid, I don’t know how to feeelllll!!!! Aaaarrrrghhhh!!!! I really don’t like noona romances, they usually come with so many complications in dramaland and I hate that. but I really really really like Lee Jae Wook and his acting. His facial expressions are so damn passionate. Definitely loved their chemistry until now so!!! Will see where they take the story with this shocking revelation!

Also thinking back to the first ep when he gave her her bouquet and he got close to her, it was probably because he saw her at her recital and was instantly smitten.
