Seo Hyun-jin, Kim Dong-wook on a flower-filled date in You Are My Spring

Upcoming drama You Are My Spring is about adults who are still children at heart. Somehow they all end up living in a building where a murder happened. The first teaser belies the dark premise with its cheery mood.
The casting lineup consists of: Seo Hyun-jin (Black Dog), Kim Dong-wook (Find Me in Your Memory), Yoon Park (Birthcare Center) and Nam Gyu-ri (Kairos). Seo Hyun-jin’s character is a hotel concierge manager who decided her career path after a brief stay at a Gangneung inn in her childhood. It made such an impression in her young heart that she decided to think of it as her hometown.
Kim Dong-wook plays a psychiatrist who chose to become one in order to help people live again. People who aren’t living their best lives. People who don’t see the point in living anymore. People like Nam Gyu-ri’s character who are afraid to love. Nam Gyu-ri plays an actress who was used and abused by her previous boyfriend-cum-manager.
Last but not least, Yoon Park plays the CEO of an investment firm who appears in front of Seo Hyun-jin like out thin air. He knows how to comfort her almost as if he had read a how-to manual on her.
In the recently released teaser, Seo Hyun-jin is shown enjoying a bright spring day. Lovely upbeat music plays as she walks around with her earbuds in and smells the flowers. Just as she bends down to smell a white bloom, Kim Dong-wook comes up behind her and takes an earbud out of her ear.
He puts it in his ear, and unexpectedly, the sound of lively trot music comes out. Looking at her, he says, “Oh my,” and they begin jamming out to trot. They grab hands and walk away laughing.
Written by Lee Min-ah (Bubblegum) and directed by Jung Ji-hyun (The King: Eternal Monarch), tvN Monday-Tuesday drama You Are My Spring will begin airing on July 5.

Loved SYJ in Another Miss Oh. She was just so good there. Wasn’t impressed much by her recent projects, all of which I couldn’t finish. Really want to give it a go for this one, but the murder aspect just doesn’t sit well with me.

@mmmmm Same. I really enjoyed her portrayal in Another Miss Oh, but Temperature of Love was a miss for me. Hopefully this will be a winner, but I'm not confident about the male lead.

That one was a miss for me, too. I didn’t like the ML tbh. I couldn’t feel invested in any of his characters.

I like Kim Dong-wook. I liked Seo Hyun-jin in Black Dog but none of her romance dramas. I hope this drama is better than the description because not really sure what the story is supposed to be.

I love Kim Dong Wook in Find Me In Your Memory. So will def check this out.
The description of the characters are a bit all over the place so I wonder how it will be executed into a coherent story.

Yes. Just a bit concerned about the psych angle. We’ll see how KDW plays it. I really like him and trust his acting. Just hope the writer does the character justice. And SHJ will act the heck out of her character and make it hers as she always does.

Ahhh they look so lovely together! The teaser was adorable too.
Hoping the romance will be good. Been a while since I've watched any.
Kim Dong Wook surprised me in a good way when he did a romance drama last year. And I last saw Seo Hyun Jin in a different, non-romantic role so I'm glad to see her change it up this time.

Recently finished Find Me In Your Memory so I am eager to watch another Kim Dong-wook drama. The description though xD also I couldn't finish Bubblegum buuuut I love Seo Hyun-jin. So dramagods please let this be good.

So I watched the teaser without reading the premise and I thought oh looks like a sweet, breezy romance........ then I scroll up and it's like oh yeah ALSO A MURDER.

You Are My Spring looks like premiere during 2021 summer(!) season. It means that it actually premiere on a wrong season. That what I called in my correct title: You Are My Summer, not Spring. Also, this show for me will have romantic comedy-cum-mystery thriller. That's what for real wrong reasons.
