Divorce Attorney Shin - The stakes for almost all main and side characters have raised this week, enriching the layers and subtext of this drama. I’m finally on board fully. Great to see the rate rise.

I love how carefree this role is to Jo Seung-woo, it’s like watching him on stage doing what he loves to do.

I want more trot from him. This is totally a JSW vehicle showcasing his versatility - carefree one minute and all-consuming next.

THREE BRAVE SIBLINGS ended with OK ratings for a weekender. A bit of fan service at the end with a cute group photo, the least convincing wedding of all time, a scene where Soorim is in a wedding dress, etc. Most satisfying scene: The arrest of Soorim's ex. Bottom line: Not the worst weekender of all time but this show will not be on my list of recommended weekend family dramas.
DIVORCE ATTORNEY SHIN really has grown to be that much better, and the audience noticed.
THE HEAVENLY IDOL is a show we are enjoying but it is also a mess, and in some ways the problem may be similar to THREE BRAVE SIBLINGS: The writer simply does not know how to fully realize the potential of the shows premise. This show should have been far more musical and comical- it is a fish out of water tale, after all, and set in the music and dance scene. Both shows failed to live up to their potential due to the choices made by their writers.

I am really enjoying DIVORCE ATTORNEY SHIN. (Although the fact he could meet a child after school and take him to a fast food place was kind of creepy but maybe that is a eastern/western thing.)
I made it only to half way through episode 7 of the other divorce themed drama STRANGERS AGAIN when I pulled the rip cord. It is a bean I will not be getting.

Same. I think it’s not going overboard with the weekly legal cases and the main characters and plots continue to be consistently wonderful.
Happy to see good ratings for the show!

Felt timing in Three Brave Siblings was off...lots of wasted time and then crunch at the end. Siblings mother continued to be awful right to the end. Side characters could have been developed much more. Talented cast, but writing not top notch.

I too felt the timing was off- from beginning to end.

I had high hope of Three Brave Siblings when it began, especially to support Im Joo Hwan for getting this ML role after a long while but it’s not meant to be sadly. Thanks @oldawyer for doing your wee-cap weekly so I can still follow the overall plot without watching it. Will now find time to watch the finale.

Agreed Three brave siblings ended better than expected but they stretched the distress out too far into the final episode. I really thought it was 50 episodes so when it turned out to be 51, I was so gutted. I don't get why they didn't have twins after the conception dream I am sure it was about two animals fighting. Unless it was to represent the joining of the two families always at war with each other. The siblings’ mum was so over the top considering her own treatment by her mother in law who seemed to have changed more than she did. The acceptance of Sorim’s relationship only because her future husband is rich was so shallow. So glad the actor playing Soobin was back for the wedding without the sling so hopefully he is fully recovered.
Disappointing watch sums up the experience for me. I hope the writer has better results with their next drama.

I agree that acceptance of Mooyoung because of his wealth was shallow but it was also realistic. Sad, but true and all too human. It was disappointing in many ways.

Pandora doing pretty severely in the rating battle is the most unexpected thing I've seen at rating these past few months. It is still Kim Soon-Ok's creation, surely it could have garnered more hype?
Wondering if its because it is aired in the wrong TV channel (TVN hasn't known for makjangs, unlike SBS)?

I was interested to see how high Taxi Driver 2's ratings were, since they delved into pretty interesting territory this week with the team exposing a cult leader by convincing him to follow a cult. It ended with a statement about what true religion is--pretty deep for a revenge/fighting for justice show!

Interested to see how just how high the Divorce attorney Shin ratings will climb as it has some big names in the cast and I like the story so far And the mix of humour alongside the serious issues being addressed is working for me.

I was very pleased to see OASIS not loose ground and stay in the 6 percent range.
A third historical drama is now in the M/T mix with the sageuk THE SECRET ROMANTIC GUEST HOUSE airing episodes 1 and 2 this week.
