Drama viewership ratings for the week of Feb. 13-19, 2023

It’s more of the same this week with quiet weekday slots (even for The Heavenly Idol’s premiere) and then the weekend explosion. Taxi Driver 2 hits double digits right out of the gate (SBS has been ruling this slot lately), while Red Balloon also hits the double digits mark this week. And as for Agency and Crash Course in Romance? 13% and climbing.

Things are looking bleaker for Kokdu and MBC. MBC should pick better scripts and actors, like what they did for The Veil, The Red Sleeve, Tracer and Golden Spoon.

THREE BOLD SIBLINGS has amped up the Makjang and ratings are rising accordingly. For the first time we are seeing normal ratings for a weekender.
CRASH COURSE IN ROMANCE is doing well.
I would have thought that HEAVENLY IDOL would draw a bigger audience.

Heavenly Idol so far is really fun and deserves better, but idol dramas lost their mainstream appeal years ago and I don't really think we'll see this genre getting back in trends anytime soon. I'd say its current numbers are pretty decent, esp for a cable show.
