  • Jun (a.k.a. Lee Jun-young) (May I Help You) is considering an offer to become Pyo Ye-jin’s (Taxi Driver 2) cynical prince charming in I Openly Dream of Cinderella. The rom-com is still in the early stages and is planning to release on an online platform in 2024. With scripts penned by Yoo Ja, writer Baek Mi-kyung (Mine, Strong Woman Do Bong-soon) is listed as the creator. [Newsen]

  • As we head into premiere week, more promos have been released for TVING’s CEO-dol Mart, reuniting our once-idol boys to become grocery pushing shopkeepers in the new teasers found here and here. Starring Lee Shin-young (Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3), EXO’s Xiumin, Monsta X’s Hyungwon (Fly, Again), Choi Won-myung (The Fabulous), and Lee Sae-on (Light on Me), the comedy launches on September 15. • Promising an epic-scale sageuk of all sageuks, KBS’s The Goryeo-Khitan War dropped a new teaser as well, showcasing leads Choi Su-jong (My Only One), Kim Dong-joon (More Than Friends), Ji Seung-hyun (My Dearest), and many others. Coming to our screens this November, PD Jeon Woo-sung (Strongest Deliveryman) and PD Kim Han-sol (Imjin War 1592) are at the helm with scripts by Lee Jung-woo (The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won). • In the meantime, Jeon Jong-seo (Bargain) will be taking us on a dark spin as she dances hunts for revenge in the new poster and video teaser for the Netflix film Ballerina. Also starring luscious locks Kim Ji-hoon (Love to Hate You) and Park Yoo-rim (Miraculous Brothers), the action-noir releases next month on October 6. [News1]
  • Over on MBC, more stills have arrived for the upcoming A Good Day to Be a Dog, featuring our fantasy rom-com’s main pair: Cha Eun-woo (Island) and Park Kyu-young (Celebrity). I'm sold and in for Aema and CEO-dol Mart because I love all of the cast members. I hope both shows are good for me.

For CEO-dol Mart, it will be on Viki.

1) It looks fun. I'm happy to see Jo Hyun-chul, he was so good in D.P.

2) I love this kind of cheesy story when it's well done. Jun is a good actor but I didn't like a lot of his dramas 😅

3) It's a found family kind of drama and I love this trope! I'm happy to see Lee Shin-young as a lead.

4) I'm happy with a sageuk from another era than Joseon. But it looks very old school 😅

5) Netflix doesn't like happiness neither joie de vivre.

6) Park Kyu-young looks super cute. CEW looks handsome as usual.

I lost a lot of my interest in Chunhwa Love Story after the news that Go Ara will replace Go Ah-Sung who hurt her back...

She is one of those that I don't care to watch in a sageuk. I'm glad Go Ah-Sung bowed out, so I don't have to watch it.

The reverse situation for me. Had no plans on seeing this but now knowing Go Ara is headlining, looking forward to it.

+1 I had already planned on watching this but looking forward to it even more now because IMO, Go Ara is a much better match with Chang Ryul than Go Ah-sung.

4. I've missed the red military garment.
And a recollection to The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won, it's great to see such sagueks succeed the other.
I don't mind if KBS doesn't release sagueks all year round, I'll be pleased if they air just one Saguek each year that'll take the breathe of anyone away.

Yes! I would not mind at all if they put all their money and efforts into just one well written, well acted, well produced Saeguk a year, and knocked all of our socks off with it!

In my mind, Netflix is making Ballerina because they know that the real-world ballet community is so fed up with how they’re treated that they need an emotional release STAT or we’re all doomed.

No. 4. KBS’s THE GORYEO-KHITAN WAR. Very interesting teaser/survey. I wish it had been subtitled. As a US viewer I am hoping (like KBS’s KING OF TEARS:LEE BANG WON (2021/22)) KBS will make this drama available on Kocowa and then on Viki.

OT. Upcoming sageuk availability update. KBS’s WEDDING BATTLE/BATTLE OF MARRIAGE/THE MATCHMAKER with Rowoon and Choi Yi-hyun is now on Viki US’s “Coming Soon” list.

I get the vibe that Park Kyu-young in "A Good Day to Be a Dog" will be a quirky character like Han Ji Min in "Behind Your Touch."

I was really worried about Cha Eun-woo looking too young for this role, especially next to PGY, but based on these photos I think it's gonna be okay.
