I’m really late with this July Movie Challenge as I’ve been WiFi-less for a week, so I’m going to post now days 1 to 6. I also decided to only post classic movies.

The last movie I watched was Victor or Victoria, the lovely 1982 Blake Edwards movie. I love this director and I love Julie Andrews (his wife). The movie is such a delight to watch, it had been ages since I last watched it and I enjoyed every single scene.

A favorite fantasy movie is a hard one, as I love this gender (I’m including sci-fi here as I’ve not seen this category in the list), but I’m going with the one who perfectly fits this title: Fantasia the 1940 Disney classic: dancing mushrooms, hippos and ostrich, a fiery mountain, menacing broomsticks!!

A favorite action / adventure movie is another hard choice, but I’ll go with this one because I’ll never get tired of Burt Lancaster’s wide smile The Crimson Pirate. I can watch it a thousand times and will never get tired of it.

A favorite horror/suspense movie is definitely 1945 Alfred Hitchcock’s Spellbound. I still remember when I watched it for the first time.

A favorite drama movie has my heart divided between Gone with the wind and Citizen Kane. Two different movies, two different styles. Big places in my heart.

A favorite comedy is Arsenic and Old lace. Cary Grant overacting and two lovely old ladies as serial killers, such a weird, funny and lovely combination!!
