Me: I can’t seem to press play on MUF and IOTNBO. Episodes over an hour seem like a chore.
Also me: Watches 6 episodes of Dance of the Sky Empire in a day.
Guess who worked his magic again?!

    Xu Kai 😍😍😍😍😍

I know what you mean and how you feel about IOTNBO 😒😒😒 I keep telling myself that I don’t want to press play on the newest episodes yet until later in the week so that the wait for the newest episodes is reduced, but in reality, I just don’t feel like pressing play, period 🤷🏻‍♀️🧐🧐🧐

It’s too long. I feel exhausted. And that’s the charm of cdramas, 40 minutes episodes are so easy to watch that you don’t mind adding another.

Xu Kai, this boy has done it again lol. This show is the third consecutive one where his character has just kept on getting crazy. Had it been any other actor, I would’ve said they’re typecasted. But not him, he owns this kind of role and totally inhabits also. Also such male leads are rare. They are non existent in k dramas, but they do exist in cdramas. The mixture of weird, silly, humorous, powerful and bad but soft at heart. I remember the hero of I’ve fallen for you was the same too, even if he was good, Xu Kai has his own rendition of such characteristics that just make it so much more unique, engaging and real.

I agree!! If or when a Korean actor/actress gets repeatedly cast for seemingly similar roles, I’d say that they’re typecast because it seems they’re good at what they do, but it is the same thing over and over again. Chinese actresses and actors may seem to be cast in similar roles many a times, but even so, there’s always something new, fresh, and still not yet done when they bring the— seemingly same on paper— character to life on screen 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
