If you suck at sth, how do you get better at it? If you can’t provide the right work, how do you know next time you will?

If you dont have a mentor, try to look for other avenues (online classes, youtube videos, etc) or people around you who already have experience. See how they do their work and try your best to replicate. Most of all though, never feel bad for making mistakes. Mistakes are part of the learning process. 💚 Hwaiting, I totally get how you’re feeling.
Thanks for this. It’s quite hard to have no guidance and when you think the guidance you’re getting isn’t enough and is taking way too long to get you somewhere. I don’t mind making mistakes but it seems like people on the receiving end don’t want you to make any which becomes immensely stressful. I don’t get how people start over and change careers, moving forward in your own field is tough enough, I don’t know how much courage it requires to start all over.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. From my first job, I came in not knowing the internal and external processes, and was often reprimanded (I get what you mean – being on the media side of advertising means you lose big money if you make mistakes and there’s a lot of pressure coming from everyone not to make them) when I was not even being taught by superiors. It’s difficult feeling like you’re alone and confused, just know that a lot of people go through the same when they’re starting (be it as a fresh grad or from a different field). You can do it!
